As every week of this season wears on I am becoming convinced that the defense that can stop an elite offense doesn't exist.
Against top offense, every secondary looks like crap.
Perhaps the reason the 3 best offense have statistically crappy defenses is that they put teams in a position to have to throw and the rules have made it so the only way to stop a good pass offense is to get lucky, and an average pass offense is almost as much of a mismatch.

You must have missed the Steelers and Giants games against the Pats in week 7 and 8

An elite offense is only as good as it's offensive line...game to game

Our OL was beaten in the trenches in those games.

That's how you stop a powerful offense really quickly,get to the QB and it don't matter how crappy your secondary is.

Although this year stopping these teams offenses has been tough to do

The job for the Patriot's isn't to stop the Saints or Packers, its to outscore them. We aren't the Steelers, our D's job is to get a turnover or two and our offense has to not make the same mistake.

Stop asking questions like 'how do we stop xxxxx' because that isn't the game our team plays.
