NFL Week 2 Games Thread: Thursday Night, Bears at Packers

Cutler's field vision tonight has been diabolical.

Rodgers should just take three knees and the Packers should punt. Cutler has been the Packers' best offensive weapon tonight.

good to see cutler's still ******ed

Do the Bears have any options outside of Marshall??

Apparently, throwing to the guys in green and gold has been an option tonight for Cutler.

His job there is to sit on the spot. Cutler was late. You don't make that throw if you're late. Cutler has a habit of thinking he can complete throws when the window (physical or temporal) has closed, which is why he throws so many interceptions.

He could have restarted his body and moved forward, but the reason for the pick is Cutler being late with the throw.

I think the receiver also has a job if the quarterback is in trouble and needs a bailout. I'm not excusing Cutler, but isn't it a receivers job to try and pick him up there?

Who is #15 and why haven't the Bears been playing him all game?

here come the Bears!!!...I mean....really??...anybody got that feeling??...I'm thinking the last six minutes will be garbage time

Cutler wasn't scrambling for his life and being hung out to dry by his WRs. He moved left and threw with his weight going backwards.

I'm not saying that there was nothing the WR could have done. I'm saying that, just like with Manning's pick 6 on the come back to Wayne in the Super Bowl, the blame is on the throw even if it's possible that the WR could have done more to try making up for the QB error.

Cutler routinely under or overthrows his receivers. He's not a smart QB which is a shame given his physical gifts.

That should be game, if it wasn't already.

Again I'm not excusing Cutler. He was late but I think even Mayock said he should have come back on hat ball. In any event, is the Packers D good or is that the Bears offense is that bad?

The commentators are ball washing Cutler tonight. Not all of the issues have been OL issues. Cutler holds on to the ball far too long and is indecisive. This isn't any different to Denver Cutler either.

When you're looking at a hook or comeback route without a broken play, how often is the receiver supposed to just keep running forward after his break until the ball hits him in the chest?

Even when he has time he manages to run into a sack. Brady would've just scooted around a little and had all day.

2 division games against bears=single season sack record for clay matthews
