NFL threatens to suspend 4 players from Al Jazeera report indefinitely if they don't interview

I think they all get suspended then appeal and they'll win the appeal. Goodell will say that he was being hard on everyone, not just the Pats. He'll dismiss the suspensions in the appeal due to lack of evidence, or "most likely not aware". It'll be another slap in face to us, just like Josh Gordon being able to be with his team during his suspension.

That's actually because of the CBA, as I understand it. The rules under which Gordon was suspended allow him to be with the team whereas the rules under which Brady was suspended do not. This isn't anything new and it (amazingly) wasn't an arbitrary decision by Goodell.

Yeah...I was mostly kidding when I wrote it, but I do wonder if Kraft has any influence in the league anymore. I mean, I'm wondering what that dynamic is. Or is he just considered a clown by those guys now since he rolled over. I really don't know.
Of course he is considered a clown
He lost $1 mill and 2 draft picks and the GOAT was suspended when nothing happened and his "partners" who he said were more important than his franchise laughed at him and told him he has no support. Some reports say they were happy to railroad him because he is a prick.
You would have more pull
With the 31 than Kraft does.

This same guy said Brady should give up the fight after he lost CA2 Appeals
And that's what makes this more interesting. With more consistent actions like this more people will see this for what it is.
Clearly this is outside the CBA and outside normalcy. It demonstrates a pattern of incompetence and overreaction. As there are more dots more people will connect them.

It's a violation of the spirit of the CBA hands down.

Great job Judge Chin and Parker.

Hopefully, but there are still so many delusional fans with blinders on.

A Steelers fan commenting on PFT said, paraphrasing, that the Steelers would accept any suspension to Harrison, and that should be an example of how the Pats should have handled things rather than drag it out in the courts for months.

That is so easy to say when the player in question is a bottom of the roster guy at the end of his career.

I wonder if he'd sing the same tune if they lost a 1st round pick and Big Ben or Antonio Brown for four games over a non-existent offense.

Actually I don't wonder, I think we all know his response would be different.

Sounds like Manning threw his union under the bus. Goodell now says see Manning co-operated and now we demand your cooperation even though we never bargained for it or get Article 46'd.

One guy just for the lulz says thought he he saw Brady throwing a football to another Patriot in September.

The NFL then demands to see Brady's phone to see his text messages to confirm it. Brady says no.

Boom...suspended for the rest of the year because Article 46.

And I predicted in another thread that you will see Manning employed or used by the NFL in another 6 months as their goodwill ambassador ... The next Troy Vincent to go over to the dark side....

When they steal a few first round picks from their respective teams, maybe they'll get the message.

But that only applies to teams you're trying to dismantle.

If you think about it if the NFL simply stole the 1st round draft pick from each team they could save a lot of money on the salaries of unproven rookies

I would bet that Kraft had seriously compromised his standing with other owners prior to the most recent CBA negotiations in a few different ways. The Kraft support of Goodell in the Redskins/Cowboys affair surely sullied his name with those two franchises. His lack of support for other owners under the NFL thumb (New Orleans, Miami et al) along with his unrelenting ass-kissing of Goodell/NFL in the most recent CBA negotiations surely inspired a great deal of professional jealousy among the rest of the egotistic maniacs/owners somehow thinking that if anything else comes up they would be at a serious disadvantage to Kraft in perceived influence with the NFL office. That is except for of the Dimwit of Dimwits, Woody Johnson. Except I don't know how 'dumb' this guy is as he has his entire clique of ex-organizational dimwits running the NFL show and running roughshod over the rest of us. Dumb like a fox is my take.

Anyway, Kraft has to focus on his team and their fans and lay low avoiding anything NFL related if he ever hopes to ameliorate his reputation among his critics in the future. My guess is that he can't avoid being a team owner with all the horseshit that goes along with it. That is why they bought the team along with the investment income but I ma not sure which was the most important to them, ego or money.

This is the only way I'm able to envision the Goodell interviews anymore. "Go ahead.....apologize." Once you do that, you're innocent in his eyes.

Token: Roger Goodell is not the King of Integrity Stan!

Stan: He told my dad he was...
