I wonder how much of the interest is real. My guess is that it's the same "interest" that we hear about all the time when it comes to the Patriots. They're mentioned as being interested in seemingly about 98.35% of available players.
FWIW, I feel like we haven't heard the Patriots being connected to too many names so far this time around. On that same note, though, the source is Manish Mehta, who could just be saying it for clicks.

@Rapsheet
When Janoris Jenkins signs with the #Giants, it'll be worth more than $12M per year. Huge investment.

Butler's market just got set. And if he takes a 3rd year leap similar to Sherman/Revis, it'll be north of that.
I knew this was going to happen.

Goddammit what is it with this team finding UFA talent and becoming ProBowl players so quickly.

Fair enough. I hadn't seen that thread.

Can't read everything on this site. Granted I was thinking that he was going to be a steal. But if he is getting lots of interest, he might not be worth the contract he is going to get. I figured he would be more under the radar than he appears to be.

Marcus Cannon hardest hit...
I really see no reason to keep him. Solder & Vollmer are healthy. Waddle is signed at a pretty cheap deal. Keep Fleming around and draft a tackle, probably sign a UDFA in camp too.

This Free Agency class is so putrid that no one seems to be under the radar. Every stone is getting turned over.

Matthews over Sanu please.
Wants playing time over money that alone catapults him to the top of my list

I still can't believe LaFell got cut. I gotta think it was an attitude problem. Would have thought he'd get a chance to rebound and his price wasn't that high.
Yeah compared to what looks like it's going to get thrown at some of these WRs, gotta wonder why they wouldn't want him here at least thru camp to see if he could get back to where he was in '14. He was gonna be what $3m? And $1m dead as is.

Why is Cannon still on the team?

Belichick does great with the players who just want to play.

Where'd you see that? Makes some sense, he was relegated to like the 4th or 5th option in Miami but always seemed to play well anyway. Maybe he just wants his shot.

Very much agreed. 14 YPC, threatens outside the numbers, and has had to catch passes from Ryan Tannehill while still putting up better numbers than Sanu. But then I've never been wild about Sanu either.

Giradi mentioned Powell in the same tweet about Matthews. So I'd say it's true.

Cut Cannon, restructure Amendola, sign both..

Pass on Mathews
Pass on Sanu
Pass on Powell

I wonder if the team could extend Vollmer. He's getting a little bit older and is on the last year of his deal, and has a relatively large cap hit.

Sign Matthews then sign Harvin or Streater or my favorite trade for Michael Floyd loved him in college loved him when their were runors he could be moved for a low pick then he showed his worth.
He would be a huge comp for this offense.
