I'm sure that teams will need to know why he has been cut twice
Every cut means something...not necessarily he is a bad player.
Remember him as a Brown and Jaguar and he was really good LB. I do not know how he looked like as a Steeler.

Lol, why?
You'd have to baby him to get through the regular season, but picture the playoff receiving 5 if they were all healthy:

Evans
Godwin
Gronk
Fournette
Jones

With Gage/Brate/etc... subbing in.

It could be limiting future spending. Right now most of our under performing contracts expire this year (jonnu the only exception i know of) so were in a really good situation future years cap wise with no risk on spending . Not sure itd be a good move to spend a bunch this year, or take a more moderate approach and have a big offseason next year when we are closer to where we need to be. Im not saying dont clear any space but you still have to be careful how much you want to kick down the road.

He won 11 games in 2008 with a QB who didn't start a single game in college, a 7th round pick.
Interesting slant. It could also be slanted that Todd Hailey won his division with that same QB while Bill failed to make the playoffs with him

He requested a trade a month or so ago, there must not be any real interest in him. Could be cheap but he had a big drop off this year
Maybe if anything to break down the hills offense to our defense.

Totally agree. I like the pats approach this year, clearing up cap to go big next year while getting the young ones more game-time practice and building the foundation. We might lose the battle this year but the wars for 2023 and 2024 seem interesting and with some solid chance.

Even if Watson ends up with the Saints, there's this to consider:

1. Payton is no longer HC.
2. Watson probably gets suspended 4-8 games.
3. Kamara is probably facing a suspension as well.
4. They probably lost their All Pro LT (Armstead).

They could start 2-6 for all we know.
The team could be 2-6 BECAUSE of Watson. Hasn’t played a down in ages and what ? 4-12 before that ?

Too old he's close the the end really hope we pass we should have got him a few FA's back not now. Too may 30 somethings on this Team already we need more 20 somethings.

True, remains to be seen if we stay conservative but im fine with it. We do need at the least to address cb /lb / dl/ g at the moment though to field the same caliber team we had last year which can still be done via draft and mid level fa

Spending a ton of cash last year didn't exactly pan out. The approach this year seems a lot more reasonable, and the draft is really where we need some big hits like last year

It could also be noted that Haley was 18-21 with that QB.

How does having over 40% of the snaps played by new players, making the playoffs with a rookie QB, being 6th in scoring, 2nd in points allowed equal not exactly panning out?
Did you expect they were going straight to the SB?

Im curious. Why would it be better to wait until next year to add a talented player than to do it this year? What do you gain?

Or that the QB was no longer one who hadn't played since high school

I think it being COVID year and Henry missing OTAs had a spiral effect and tbh, they expected cam to be the starter and not Mac. Mac was hyper conservative which very badly impacted agholor. This year I am hopeful it will turn out better. If agholor sees a 10-20% uptick in receptions and Jonnu puts some more effort into learning playbook and playing like a 12 million dollar TE , we should see some nice improvements. Yes we have regressed tremendously in OL and DB. Linebackers last year was anyways crap , so we can either languish or take a step forward. The draft is crucial. I just hope we take contributors in first 4 rounds and not redshirt men.
