NEW ARTICLE: Zappe’s Emergence is Certainly Changing Patriots’ QB Conversation

Even 25, 30 TDs we'd be back in contention. No matter who's at QB we need to be consistent, and aggressive .

Just so long as the Pats aren't shellacked.

Allen is a 40 TD QB and where the NE QB position needs to be. If the Pats can get in the vicinity of that kind of production, were back competing for Super Bowls.
If the Pats want to compete for Super Bowls, they need a top QB. If they just want to compete for the last wild card spot, Zappe is fine.

More predictions…

I remember when Bryce Young, Trevor Lawrence, Zach Wilson, Kyler Murray, Baker Mayfield, Jared Goff, Carson Wentz… and on and on were considered “franchise caliber QB’s” because they were taken with the first two picks.

What happened?

The only thing that matters once the draft is over is how prospects play… nothing else matters.

Yes, and if you want to compete for championships keep drafting QBs until you get one that performs in the NFL. No LT or WR will make you a championship contender. QB is of course not the only piece, but QB is the single most important piece. And Zappe is not that QB

Well, if we don't find "The Guy" in the upcoming draft and suck enough next year, he could be an option in the 2025 Draft (if he's displayed the potential to be "The Guy").
They are talking, potentially, of him being a #1 pick if he takes the next step.

The Rats approve of this post.

Passing on a star player at a different position to draft a bust QB doesn’t make you a better team.

Maybe we should give Zappe the opportunity to determine his level by his play?

Before we go through the heartbreak of Zappe Round 2 - we need a moment of reflection and to say “no f’n way” to another what I call the “Flavor of the Month Club”. Reason the duration is at or around a month is because by that time the jig is usually up. Examples of these “can’t miss, exciting new superstars are “Flavor of the Month QB’s” - Gardner Minschew, Jake Browning, Joshua Dobbs, Jamesis Winston, and yes our very own, Bailey Zappe. For better or worse after some how finding the biggest Pot o’ Gold in NFL history (T. B.) we are back to the hoping and praying that when/if the chance/opportunity arrives that we pick the next equivalent of P. Manning rather than R. Leaf. Maybe not the best position to be in but it sure beats the next “Flavor of the Month….

Just saw that “Shank” just gave Zappe a nice endorsement over Coach B’’s decision to cut him back in training camp. Seems a 4 - 2 record is now worthy of starting QB material. Ok, let’s draft that new left guard and safety…..

I’m thinking we can go ahead and put this one to rest.

He's changing the QB convo by adding another useless QB to the list of "could've been's" but "shouldn't be" next year.

Zappe is not a starter in this league. Period.

Backup maybe. But there are also better backups than him in the league.

Zappe's like having a coach on the field. Unfortunately, it's a high school coach.
