MORSE: Final First Round Patriots Mock Draft
Mark Morse
This is a deep draft for Offensive Tackles and Wide Receivers. First round talent for Cornerbacks and Edge Rushers is also plentiful. I am predicting there will not be any trades in the 1st round unless MIN, DEN or some other team gets silly and offers the Patriots a Godfather offer.

No matter what does happen, more than 50% of the forum, local media and fan base will not like Thursdaay's decision.

3 NE Drake Maye QB NC
– NE doesn’t get their Godfather “I’ll make you an offer you can’t refuse” offer and settles for Maye. He will need a full year of tutelage and the rebuild will crawl on for a few years longer. Don’t expect some instant gratification.

Aside from the obvious Pats-centric focus on this draft, I'm really curious what other teams will do in the first round. Besides the number of teams that could use a QB, there are many that will be facing a difficult decision between an OT, WR, TE (Bowers), CB or Edge defender.

Just another day and a half to go, finally.

They are taking a QB or else it's going to be a very.....very long season with Brissett.

I think the proper comparison for Adonai Mitchell from a Patriots perspective is the second round bust from Baylor, BoneyT. Not plodding N’Keal Harry.

They should trade back. Still non-hyped QBs available and a stud LT and an outside receiver.
