I agree but it might be his family's and agent's suggestion, and he is being convinced. Not an easy spot when you are drafted in the 1st round and suck. His leaked Wonderlic was a 21 - not too bad. Metcalf's was an 11

Sorry. Not sympathetic to a player who has done basically nothing in 2 years and made millions of dollars...

You just know Bill loved that. He's soooo smart. We got ourselves a heady guy. Who cares that he is not fast, slow out of his release and can't run routes.

I am convinced it is like a root canal for Bill to just pick the prettiest girl. He just can't do it. Maybe it's ego like he won't get credit when the player turns out to be good or he does not want to coach the attitude that comes with being the prettiest. But it's football man. Just so frustrating at times.

Maybe he just whiffs on draft picks sometimes, like every other NFL executive.

No wide receiver who is the obvious choice gets out of the first round. Everyone beyond that has question marks, so every team has to evaluate which red flags they think they can work with better. Bill missed on this one. That's no basis to think he dislikes athleticism for some odd reason. Chad Jackson was a great athlete, but he was dumb and had a bad attitude. The result is the same.

If youd ever like to see how Harry should be playing take a look at Allen Robinson for da Bears.

Practically the same size as Harry, physical and not particularly fast. But, Robison is just a beast of a possession WR. It doesn't matter how open Robinson is because if the ball gets near him, he is one who is coming down with it. Dude just dominants DBs.

Why can't we draft receivers? Why, just why?

The good news is there is no reason to be frustrated. Points are not recorded and TDs are not scored based on draft picks, and wins and championships are all that matter. You can ignore the other stuff if you wish.

They can actually can draft, during periods that don't include the current OC. We got Deion Branch, David Givens, Edelman, Gronk, Edelman, Hernandez during 2001-2004 and 2009-2012 which carried the offenses. It's during 2005-2008 and 2013-now that we bust on draft picks like Chad Jackson, Laurence Maroney, Aaron Dobson, NKeal Harry, and Michel.

You’re McDaniels spiel has become so boring. In the past it was just asinine, insane, bizarre, now add boring.

Fixed it for you…..

No matter how much homers or blowhards hate it the truth is in 3 seasons without Thomas Brady, McDaniels did the following:

2010: lost 10 straight and fired in Denver. So many draft disasters and bad trades there are multiple Bronco fan sites and all they do is hate on the guy. No TE production at all.
2011: League worst (32nd out of 32) NFL offense for the St Louis Rams. Only 12 points per game. No TE production at all.
2020: We all know how bad last year was. Again league worst TE production. A boatload of excuses not unlike the 2011 and 2010 excuses. Even with Tom in 2019 who checked out after AB was cut, the offense only averaged 17 points per game from Halloween till end of season. Brady carried his whole coaching career till Brady said F it.

But please reply, happy to go in-depth over draft debacles from 2005-2008 and 2013-now especially on the offensive side of the ball, not unlike a drunk sailor making the same disastrous trades and draft picks at Denver from 2009-2010.

Wins and championships come partially as a product of how you draft.

This can’t be a serious post…right?

But the Pats drafted poorly at WR before 2013 too: Brandon Tate, Taylor Price, Jeremy Ebert and so on. Bill makes the final decision, so how do we know McDaniels is responsible for the bad offensive drafts?

Ain’t dude draft Tebow?

It's a fair point.

Let's take our chances at a guy who failed repeatedly 3 times (Denver 2010, St Louis 2011, Pats 2019) , a guy who multiple times has led League Worst teams in the past: Josh McDaniels.
