My Six with 2 Weeks to go

I'm with OTG on Reed. He'd be a nice pick, as a pass rush specialist. He's going to be a liability against the run, meaning he's not a 3-down player, which in my mind means he's not worth a top 60 pick.

Picking Romeus works. But who's playing at OLB next year?

That's a very tough one.

I have recently ~ and with great reluctance ~ disembarked from the Aldon Smith train. I still believe in him, but I have become persuaded that the combination of Conversion Risk, Draft Capital Expenditure, and Opportunity Cost ~ at other positions ~ points away from making that particular move.

And he was the very last Flanker who I could justify expending so much Draft Capital on.

To answer your question: I like Rob Ninkovich a great deal, and buy into Brother Maine's suggestion that he is poised for a big step forward, this year. He is a Scrapper, and I believe that he is going to become an excellent Run Defender, to the great surprise of many.

Going into Year 2 on the job as they are, I'm expecting BIG improvements from both Rob Ninkovich and Jermaine Cunningham.

And I think that big improvements from the players next to and in front of them ~ Brandon Spikes, Ty Warren, Marcus Stroud, and Fresh Grizzlies!! ~ will also have a direct impact on their effectiveness.

What think ye?

I think you're right. If we beef up our Grizzlies up front the linebackers will, by default, become more effective. That, and we should sign Kiwi, damn lack of Free Agency.

Yes, I am 100% down with stealing Matthias Kiwanuka back from the Giants, who we never should've allowed to have him in the first place.

MIND you: I consider that a 2012 move, but ~ as with Greg Romeus ~ I hold out hope that he could take it through the gears and become a contributing member of the Flanker crew after Halloween.
