Patriots Injury News Mike Reiss Provides Clarity on Jacas' Absence

Forgot to add, this is why I Do Not Like early-round trade-ups.
I disagree with this. A 4th isn't all that valuable. Plus, Jacas was probably very high on the team's board. While posters liked others, the team likely had Jacas much higher than other EDGE rushers.

And its only June 19. I understand we want rookies in day one, but he is still a rookie with a rookie ceiling. I think its worth the wait to make sure he is 100% healthy, transparent, and worth the contract given. I am sure they have set dates to do health checks.

All Jacas has to do to make it all moot is win DROY.

The Pats were apparently aware (per Bedard) of multiple medical issues, and that Jacas would miss time "getting healthy", and chose to trade up for him anyway. I'll trust their judgment for now, and hope they will be vindicated.

That said, the sooner we get a healthy Jacas signed and participating, the better.

where I would have issue/questions, is why wasn't he present, for meetings and team comraderies. he could have soaked in the experience, starting building some relationships, with out taking the field.
This is my prior point as well. Meet team mates, work with coaches, report to the training staff, study the playbook, etc. Seems healthy to integrate Jacas even if he is not on the practice field.

It is a 4th and a 6th. So if Jacas is a bust, we lose a 2nd, 4th, and 6th. There is more risk in that approach. It is understandable if someone doesn't like that risk.

Absolutely.

That is one way of looking at it.

Another possibility is that the Pats had a 1st round grade on Jacas, that ge only slipped due to injury issues, and that they made a calculated decision to move up in spite of those concerns.

We don't know for sure, and we don't know how it will work out.

IVWT for now, at least for me.
