I understand, we can't keep everyone... But a Josh McD offense, without a classic Slot Receiver? In the Northeast, where short completions are the lifeblood of an offense in the POs? That appears highly illogical, as Commanderr Spock would say... And he oughta know; he's from the West End!

We still need to get a QB that can and will run that kind of passing offense.

I’m now wondering if AJ and Drake cooked that up together on purpose or if Drake was off target and AJ made a genius move to bail him out?

Either way it bodes well for this season being fun to watch!

Looks like Drake was throwing to the pylon which is where you would want to put that throw. Shows the skill set of AJ

Ponder, Chism and Dippre all made the 53 man roster as rookies. That’s not historically remote. If one of the UDFA WR’s shines in preseason and absolutely stands out… there will be no hiding them on the practice squad.

One clarification: Ponder and Chism made the 53 out of training camp; Dippre wasn't signed to the 53 until around Thanksgiving, after multiple teams made offers to sign him.

Also, UDFAs have made the roster every year this century except BB's last year (go figure). Looking at the UDFAs since 2014:

So about 50% of Pats UDFAs who make the roster as rookies get significant playing time or make significant contributions.
