I've lived in Florida for the entirety of Chambers' career, and spent many of my years here living in Miami. I know full well what you're getting. As I noted, the trade will help San Diego as they strive for the playoffs, but let's be serious here. Chambers has reached 1,000 yards in only one season his entire career. Now, maybe Chambers will suddenly become ferocious in his attempts to win the ball, and maybe he'll suddenly become much better at catching the football. But, if I were you knowing what I know, I wouldn't bet the ranch on it being something sustained. At this point in his career, it's far more likely that he is what he is.
Moss is a different animal, as you well know, and he serves to make my point for me. Even in 2005, where you're denigrating Moss, R.M. rang up over 1,000 yards (1,005 yards on 16.8 ypc) with Kerry Collins as his quarterback. In fact, he's never failed to reach 1,000 receiving in any season where he played a full 16 games. His 'struggles' in Oakland were really only confined to 1 season, when his head coach was Art Shell, his quarterback was part of a carousel, and he clearly didn't want to be there.
