Re: Miami likely to be 1-0

Wow, now we have the Phin fans and the Stiller fans duking it out on our board.
Today just keeps getting weirder.

LOL! Trust me, you had better be rooting for the Steelers. If the Fins get this one, they will be 4-0 heading into Foxboro on October 8.

Man, this is deja vu. I remember two years ago when Jet fans were all giddy when they came into Foxboro 4-0, too. How did that work out?

And then they'll go 2-6 to end the season like usuual. Dolphins late season collaspes are even more predictable than the Red Sox'.

Kind of like last year's 6-0 ending?

Normally I wouldn't care who wins. They are BOTH rivals. But this time around I'm a Steelers fan, being that the Miami fans (see reply in this thread) already have such HUGE heads for no reason. I'd love for the Steelers to take them down a notch from the outset. But hey, if Miami does win it wouldn't be a surprise. Facing backups at WR and QB makes a win easier for any team in the NFL.

That's the thing that kind of sucks is everyone will use that as an excuse. Oh well, there will be no excuses on October 8. Besides, Pittsburgh's defense is still all there and if we can put up a lot of points, that should raise some eye brows.

You're like a broken record.

I love it when Fins fans boast this. For most of those six, the games meant nothing to the team they were playing. Bottom line is we don't care about Miami. When you're the lead dog, you don't have to look over your shoulder. Its teams like Miamis job to keep up, but they aren't there yet.

Yeah the same ending where they almost lost to second and third stringers.

Well I think it was something that had to be said. You can't say that they are guarenteed to end the year bad based on past events. Especially when just last year they swept December.

Yeah, that is pretty crazy. Had that ever happened before? Besides 1972?

I'll be rooting for a tie.

But if it comes down to it a Steelers victory would be better than a Dolphins victory.

Hmm...

Let's see, Chad Pennington, or Daunte Culpepper??? HMM... Who would I rather have.

Ummm. . . I don't mean to be a stickler here, but does anyone have a link for this little news tidbit?

As long as you realize that the No Excuses things works BOTH ways (as in, you can't make excuses for all this smack talking after we win), then you'll be fine.

A guy with no arm, or a guy with no knee? I'll take Tom Brady, thank you.

Okay sounds good. But if we are missing Thomas, Taylor, Chambers, Brown and Culpepper, I get a free pass.

Wow, you really think the difference between the 2 is that great?
