No, he's not, but he is efficient and (most of the time) careful with the football.

Exactly. It seemed that all the Vikings needed was a "game manager" type QB. The scope of the team certainly looks a lot different than it did before. Gone is the flashy offense and in is what appears to be an improved defense.

Our crew will decimate the OLine and put Duante on IR.
He can either run away or hit the deck.
Someones knees is getting wishboned.

The question with Culpepper isn't whether he can distribute the ball around with flair. Rather, the question is, TO WHOM is he chucking the thing and at what times of the game.

Vinny Testaverde. Drew Bledsoe. Kerry Collins. All guys who could, at times, look like world-turners. All guys who would KILL you at the worst possible time. Daunte's one of those dudes.

Live by the sword, and so forth. . . .

That's a very good comparison, the double edged sword. Culpepper fits into that category. You can say Favre is now in that company as well.

I hate the Dolphins.

But they suck. They are no threat.

I'd rather go for home field advantage. The Steelers are our competition, not the Phins.

We're going 13-3 this year. The division title is already in the bag.

I'd rather the Phins win.

Um, Patriot fans have seen championship football teams. Miami fans have not. Try and follow along and keep up.

I'm sorry, I just can't take you serious ever again. LOL!

I'd also like to point out that no Miami quarterback has turned the ball over this preseason.

Geez, how do you figure THAT?!

Best part about Pfinz pfanz is that, when the chips start falling, they're never around to do the raking. At least Bills fans alternate snowmobiling weekends during sub-.500 seasons.

Oh come on, nevermind the 3 of 4 Superbowls, we've also won 4 out of the last five AFCE Championships, and we're the current AFCE Champ right at the moment.

Even with the vastly overrated Ben Roethlisberger, the Fins would beat the Steelers. The Steelers are not even close to the team they were last year and they hit a string of very fortunate events in the post season. Also, Hines Ward might not play.

LOL. Maybe the Fins would have a chance if they were playing at home. But they're not. They're in Pitt. They are going to be destroyed. The scoreboard probably won't reflect it, but I expect to see pure domination.

sweet i can't wait for Miami to squeak by with a b.s. win b/c big ben is out and then everyone will say their predictions are right and that Miami really is a contender

great.

Okay, I propose a bet. If Miami wins, you have to put a Dolphins logo in your avatar and sig. If they lose, I will do the same but with the Patriots.

I think going into the defending champs home on opening night and beating a great defense is pretty impressive however it comes.

And then they'll go 2-6 to end the season like usuual. Dolphins late season collaspes are even more predictable than the Red Sox'.

so right! the fins never have gone 6-0 to end the season!

I actually agree with that. All except for the part about Miami winning the game. The Steelers weren't the best team LAST year, so I refuse to parade around pretending that they tore up the league. They are, however, half a step above the Dawlpfinz, who the Patriots BEGGED to beat them last year, and almost couldn't pull it off.

Yeah in my predictions I actully have the Steelers finishing 9-7 and missing the post season. I'll put the Fins to the side for a moment and knock on the Steelers for a moment. They were by no means the best team in football last year. Shoot, I'll take a Super Bowl any way I can but I'm just saying it won't necessarily carry over to the next season. I don't think the Steelers are ahead of the Fins at all at this point. Here is a list of teams that I like to do better than the Steelers this year:

Patriots
Dolphins
Bengals
Colts
Jaguars
Broncos
Cheifs

And that's just the AFC.

I'll go you one further - the Steelers, for YEARS, have had the easiest road in the league.

But for one cheap shot by Kimo von Oelhoffen, the Steelers would have had a much earlier exit. And, I don't care what anyone says, lunging at a quarterback's lower legs is and always will be a cheap shot. But, there were all those wonderful "Jerome Goes Home" video cuts to use during Superbowl week.

Steelers: Super Bowl champs
Dolphins: Had a good team...back when South Beach was still a pig sty.

Fins will still lose... That defense will be all over Culpepper like the crabs he got on the sex boat.
