Great teammate and player last season. I'm glad he left before he had the chance to become a problem though.
Imagine having him, Gronk, Randy Moss, Chad Johnson and Corey Dillon on the same team. Brady would've demanded a pay raise.

Other than Johnson, the performance of those guys undoubtedly resulted in pay raises for Brady.

quick...somebody tell me what "assiduously" means....

I usually go to my good friend "Mr Google" for these types of answers. But I couldn't spell it so I just assumed it was something bad.

one of my favorite guys from the team last year. i hope he is one of the guys who does America's Game

Love Marty. There are certain athletes who are characters, but dead serious on the field. Bill Lee was like that, clutch, fielded his position and wanted to bat. While he was needed, a player like that can really loosen up a locker room. It can go the other way too.

Also would have loved to see both TEs healthy together, but Marty sure did the dirty work, dependable receiver and played on a crushed ankle, apparently.

The Patriots have a solid record of getting nice pay days for these one year rental players like Bennett. It's great to maintain this reputation, as it attracts some very high level talent to come play for a ring with a reasonable price tag. Would have been good to keep him, but that's just business.

So tough. Clutch early in the year and even playing hurt he demanded attention. Wanted that Superbowl ring bad. Loved him for that.

I think the punishment he put himself through will have consequences to his performance and OK we did not resign him.

And Chad Jackson, he about to break out.
