I wasn't a worshipper. It was simply a matter of preaching patience and hoping he'd turn it around since QB purgatory is a bad place to be. The hope was that he'd figure it out and they could build on the offense and hopefully buy time to potentially draft the next guy while possibly being competitive in-between. I then said the same for Zappe for the same reason when he took over midseason. Obviously, that didn't work out either.
Brady's gone, so rather than continue being upset about that, I was hoping they'd have success with who they had. I wanted them to ride Jones out until it was clear he couldn't do it. When he finally imploded, I wanted the same from Zappe. It didn't work out, so we're on to the next guy, which is a bad place to be and that's why rooting for whoever they have under center is sort of the only option because it's going to continue to be a rough ride until somebody steps up and can handle playing QB here.
