It's amazing to me that some are criticizing his raw, emotional reaction to pain.

Bunch of internet tough guys on this board....

Let's see if they don't make a face or scream in pain when a 300lb man lands on their ankle so it contorts in an unnatural position.
Nobody is saying we wouldn’t be hurt

Just gauging his reaction relative to other QBs that have been hurt. And his is the most extreme reaction I think I’ve ever seen

You know it's the usual suspect our boy Mac 10. He can't help himself and starts the back and forth

Wrong as usual. It was @Tottie and @Tunescribe that first brought Brady into this discussion...

None of that was embarrassing guys. You just all love Tom Brady too much. You must love the QB who plays here or it's Tom Brady's fault.

You? A Bucs forum devotee decrying "tribalism" while crapping on Mac Jones?

There have been plenty who play it up. See Rapistburger as a prime example.

I interpret their comments as questioning his toughness. No need.

Hmmm
I'll take the L on this one

I sprained my ankle really bad about a year ago, it actually made a crack sound. I was worried something broke somehow based on the sound. Took a long time to heal. It still swells up a bit any time I do anything strenuous to be honest. I probably should’ve seen a doctor lol.

Same thing happened to my wife a year and a half ago... cracking sound and everything, but no break... She's a radiologist, and says the sound being made is that of the tendon/s being stretched too far too quickly...

That’s the nature of this place, and fans in the northeastern US in general. We’re very similar to NY and Philly sports fans. Very quick to turn on their star athletes. The reaction to his face/his crying is a little much. Kid was hurt, and he’s a competitor who was likely realizing that he will be out for a while… and of course one of the worst fan bases on the planet tears him apart. This might be new to some of you, but those of us who have continued to root for Brady so long as it doesn’t negatively impact the Pats (which is roughly 99% of the time) have been dealing with this for a couple of years.
I'm from Boston but I agree 100%. Not all of us from up there are like that.
I always hated the negativity of many fans
and most of the media.
I've lived all over the USA and am now in the South. I will say this: Boston area fans are one of the most knowledgeable groups in the country. Sports in general mean more up there than almost anywhere else. Philly is similar so is Chicago. Your average sports fan in say,Birmingham,Ala might be extremely knowledgeable about the Tide. But don't often know about other sports or other cities teams. Whereas your average Beantown fan is knowledgeable about all
major sports, all over the country. Part of this us the weather. Long winters mean lotta time indoors at bars watching and arguing sports. I lived in San Diego and very of the natives knew much about any sports besides the Chargers. But it's 75' and sunny in January so who has time to watch sports on TV?
Plus the media coverage of sports in general is way greater in Boston than almost anywhere.
But still no excuse for the negativity. I was never negative about any of the teams growing up even when most of em sucked(except Celtics). I never understood booing your home team. Just makes you look like a chump imo.
But being negative about the Patriots or Brady or Belichick is the act of entitled ungrateful primadonnas. My 2 cents

I got a Grade 2 hamstring tear while in assessment for a unit years ago. There was a pop and I went down immediately. The pain wasn't that bad, but the thought that it was costing me a chance at the unit hurt far more. I yelled. They called me a baby for yelling, but it wasn't the pain of the injury. It was everything else.

I interpreted Mac's emotional display as his reaction to the idea that he's going to be out for a while. Say what you will about his performance (and there's much that can be and has already been said), but he really put his heart into that game. Having this happen, while in that frame of mind, is probably pretty difficult to deal with, mentally.

I don't care who started it. I have bowed out of the war between the Brady haters and Belichick haters a long time ago. But I do have a problem with some people dancing on the proverbial grave of Mac Jones and Belichick after Mac suffered a significant injury. People should be above that BS.

If the Tampa Bros didn't start ****, there'd be nothing for Mac10 to respond to... But they couldn't wait to get it started...
Lol okay

Nobody is questioning his toughness. The kid is tough. It's his reactions or actions that are being brought to light. Such as taking a dive to garner a flag (called out by announcers), the Giddy dance in the EZ, his crying on the sidelines after NO loss last season, etc. These are not Patriot-like. It's as if he needs attention. I can tell you that if he played for another team, he would be mocked by our fan base.

It's a new generation, so maybe that's the way these kids roll. Are the other young QBs doing these same things? Idk, its just weird.

Might be generational. IDK. Some QBs wear their emotions on their sleeves. Some don't. Some play the draw the flag game. Some don't.

There are half a dozen threads blasting Patricia, BB, Mac, etc. none started by the other forum posters. There are dozens and dozens of posters criticizing the team, none of which visit the other forum.

But yea, let's focus on the couple of posters that do visit the other forum that offer an opinion on what everyone else is talking about and make it all about that forum. It's old and tiring.

Mahomes does it. Always trying to get flags called. Runs & fakes going out of bounds, then scurries for a few more yards when D pauses to not get a flag. It's bush league. Someone needs to pop him so he stops that sh&t.

Taking a dive to draw a flag is also bush league, imo. Whatever.

Everyone is different but there is a level of toughness and tolerance of pain these players have that 99.9% of us cannot comprehend.
I've been lucky enough to coach along side some NFL vets at some football camps. Many can't walk normally, many live with constant pain. The game takes a tremendous toll on the body. I have zero issue with guys crying out when injured, Mac or anyone else.

Who danced on Mac’s proverbial grave? Did I miss something?
