Am I talking about Matt Waldman after specifically stating his name - Matt Waldman?

Have to say I'm not sure why you replied to me? What's you're point Rob? As some of the bolded above turned out to be completely off base. I love Waldman but he was off there.

I am just pointing out that you may have misrepresented what he said. Waldman was really high on Mac Jones. Maybe I was misreading what you wrote, but you seem to say that Waldman thought Jones had real issues coming out of college.

I am not saying he was right or wrong about anything he said.

Fine. Now explain to us what happened to Jones "last season" after the bye with McDaniels & a Top 10 offense, when he went 1-4 with a 60.5% comp, 8 TDs/7 INTs & a 80.1 rating ( he has an 87 rating this season). Is this what you consider a top 10 QB?

There was no Patricia, no Judge, no simplified offense, no sh*t OL, no Zappe.

I'll wait to hear what excuse you come up with.

I'll join in this sorry debate with a facts-only answer sans "excuses":

1). The Patriots defense took a nosedive after the bye, playing nowhere near its pre-bye level allowing an average of 30 points per game. New England's offense scored a serviceable 26-point per game average during that span. Mac didn't go 1-4, the TEAM went 1-4.
2). Competition was stout as per normal at season's end and playoffs. With the obvious exception of Jacksonville, the other four opponents were en route to winning seasons, Buffalo and Indy both vying for the playoffs at the time New England played them.
3). To that point of the season opponents had 13 games of film on a rookie quarterback STILL LEARNING the NFL game.
4). Mac's rookie season, in summary, was successful. He finished as the league's 13th-ranked quarterback overall.

It’s not virtual money, it’s dinglebucks. They are good for buying hookers and blow and the casino will comp you if you complain loud enough. So losing them isn’t a big deal and the game is fun to play.
