LOL: NFL investigating Steelers using deflated footballs

Could you imagine If This Were the Patriots? OMG! You know every news station in the country would be all over this. Maybe even throughout the world. This league is a total joke. I'm slowly losing interest in this league

Didn’t they have a similar issue against the giants in 2016?

Yes, which makes them a repeat offender. If the NFL was consistent at all with handling discipline, the Steelers should lose at least 1 first round pick and Tomlin should be gone for a year. Instead, one of the Rooney's will call NFL headquarters tell them nothing happened and that will be the end of it.

The NFL may need to recall Mike Kensil from his post in Siberia to get to the bottom of this

Well, it is nice at least that mainstream outlets are talking about it.

Better start telling players and equipment guys to turn over their phones. Refusal to do so should be considered non cooperation and met with harsh penalties.

You know what's going to come out of this?

I heard Kensil called Tomlin from his satellite phone in China to tell him "we weighed the balls... you're in big f'ing trouble".

So the NFL already put out there "nothing to see here" statement. The football was apparently defective.

Funny how quick they were to set the record straight on this...and yet they are still taking their time with the report on the PSI measurements that they collected in 2015.

Nice commentary piece by Mike Florio.
There will never be another #Deflategate

The league will never admit this, but it knows that #Deflategate I never should have happened. The fumes of Spygate collided with the reckless allegations of teams that resent the Patriots’ success, making league officials predisposed to assume the worst when measurements taken at halftime of an outdoor game played in mid-January. And so they didn’t bother to consider that the balls may have lost some air pressure due to the elements, not skullduggery.

Caught between underlings who insisted that the PSI readings were proof of foul play and overlords who thought the Patriots got off too easy when last caught cheating, the Commissioner let nature take its course, resulting in an unnatural, square-peg/round-hole effort by Ted Wells to give the league what it wanted: A conclusion that cheating had occurred, even if the evidence was inconclusive.

We need to change the process of this. The league has failed on every level. I've fixed the system:

At any point in the game as long as a coach has challenges available to use, they can challenge the PSI level in the ball. If found to be underinflated, the opposing QB will be ejected from the game.

Clean and simple fix.

Does anyone actually believe the Steelers were cheating in a pre season game?
