It wasn’t Goodell talking but it was his team. The stuff said that I feel we’re close to lies in court are based around quoting from Wells Report, now the report is completely false so using that seems unethical.

They were in court to defend the wells report which they wholeheartedly believed was true.
Why wouldn’t they? The owner of the patriots accepted it without contest.

Moreover it seems the nfl guys even tried convincing judges that it does not matter about there being no previous player ever suspended over equipment violations. They made misleading statements, misquoted Brady, misquoted by changing words around. For example, reading from Brady’s texts to the equipment guy. Small changes to what was said to make Brady seem complicit in something here..: “ you are good bro” and then saying this is evidence Brady had stuff tampered with and is evidence he was directing the man to deflate... later, Brady’s lawyer points out this is not what was said, he actually was asking the guy a question not making a statement what is actually in the text is :”you good bro”?
The guy says yes I’m a little nervous.

But this is not perjury. It’s presenting a case.

Things like that are small beans to some but in a fedeal court, changing someone else’s words around while presenting a case against them in an attempt to make them seem guilty is slimy. A small change but it’s not all

This board is iron clad evidence that people are offended about comments made about their favorite team or players. This thread is proof that people are butt hurt that I think kraft handled deflategate horribly.

I agree with you here, it is just presenting a case and not perjury. I think it means a witness outright lying to the court. I guess that would make sense for them to believe the uncontested report from wells. These lawyers must have known it was garbage and lacked scientific validity but yeah, kraft said nothing so lawyers did what they always do. But they did manipulate the texts to attempt to make Brady seem guilty of knowing the equipment guy was altering the balls, which he never did, so this is why. A lawyers job isn’t to assess the case and report to the court who he thinks is right. It’s to use whatever evidence he can fund to win.
It isn’t the nfl lawyers job to decide the scientific validity, it’s there job to argue its strength.

Here's the reality. Brady had options. He didn't take those options. Black and white fact right there. His team and NFLPA were ready to go to the SC. HE killed that avenue for his own personal reasons. He DID NOT take the fight as far as he could. There was a blatant legal path to keep the fight going. Hell he actually had a better argument that Kraft because he could say 2 judges ruled in his favor and that made this a disputed legal question for the SC.

You're just willing to excuse Brady for giving up and not Kraft out of pure bias. Just like you are willing to hug some local commercial Brady made that most of the world didn't as some sort of non direct passive aggressive shot at Goodell while the DAY AFTER it came out he was standing on stage smiling for camera's and shaking his hand and didn't say thing. Nor did he at the SB. The only person who even referenced deflategate at the Super Bowl was..... some owner, his name escapes me.

Here's the thing, I don't really care what some whose whose clearly having an unstable meltdown over football controversy from two years ago where we won the SB since and had our QB and coach hailed as the GOATs damn near universally by the sporting world thinks of me. You are ignoring the reality that Kraft only had bad options that were unlikely to succeed (and probably far less likely than Brady who could have taken it a step further). And ignoring that people who actually had their skin in the game and their names on the line, eventually got over it and are on good terms with the owner you hate and hasn't ranted even a fraction of fraction as much as you on this.

There's only one person who had lacked the class that enabled them to drag themselves low enough to go on a crazy expletive filled rant because of this.

He appealed to a point and then when it became a lost cause that would have tied him up in court for years he readjusted his priorities. He stoppped utilizing his options to proceed further and focused on football. And like Kraft he stopped fighting and took it. Because he had more important things to worry about (you clearly dont). But it's bs to say he ran out of options and couldn't have kept fighting. He 100% could have. You just have a double standard.
