Kraft admits he sold the team out

the logic is simple.....between the age of the QB and the situation of the team at least in the AFCC every year, the idea not to distract from the ongoing primary goal was extremely intelligent.....which is to say that those who exist solely on psychological testosterone (or is it estrogen?) would predictably go on and on and on about the severe need to play the ‘tough guy’

Look at the pats and look at the cowboys.....the end result should easily quiet even the moderately ignorant .... but as they say, ‘stupidity is limitless’

If that misstatement was submitted as evidence, that is perjury.
oh my god you really are an idiot.
Goodell wrote his findings of the appreal. In his findings he made made a factual misstatement of what he heard in testimony.
His lawyer repeated it from the findings in an appeal.
That is not even in the sand hemisphere as perjury.
I think we have concluded that you will make up whatever you want and even when faced with absolute proof you are wrong refuse to admit it.
Your opinions and posts simply have no value.

Neither do yours....but don’t let that stop you

I’ve been reading the court documents all morning and would have to agree with the notion that Goodell sand his team actually did tell a smart of lies in both court cases. They weren’t charged with perjury but did give false testimony and warped everything. Given that fact that the nfl lawyers were willing to take it to that level of twisting reality to fit the outcome. I guess if it were me I’d have tossed in, I’ll never like it that they gave up and I’ll never like the fact kraft didn’t do much about it all but after reading the court docs.. Jerez man what a cluster fok

It’s almost like they were dating Brady to continue in which case they would do the same and possibly the suspension happens at a worse time
You do realize that this happened a year after kraft chose to stop before taking the first step of appeal.

What are examples of lies/perjury that you are referring to? I’m curious.

This is FUN!!!

Robert Kraft is the most loved owner from a players perspective.

And he’s here to stay and there’s absolutely nothing anyone can do about but pout...if they choose to.

And here’s the fun part......

Ahahahahahahahaha!!!! Lol

So you like him so that means he can never do anything wrong?

So the distraction for the first year was acceptable but after that it isn't? That doesn't make any sense at all. By that logic they should never have fought at all- which isn't what happened. So you think they were wrong to fight the allegations at all?

Well the team didn’t fight at all. Only brady did.
I’m still not understanding how it is a distraction.
Was creating the wells report in context a distraction?
Would asking for a hearing to present that evidence in order to try to get back 2 draft picks and $1,000,000 (plus defend the honor of the franchise and its goat) be a distraction?
How?

To me it's just even more so about "you can only control the things you can control". Brady fought to a reasonable length. When it became a prolonged long shot that was going to be more of an investment than the reward was worth, he stopped. Kraft from the beginning was faced with options that only were bad one's that had very little if any chance of succeeding.

It's valiant to fight for what you believe in. It's stupid to fight a clear losing battle just for show in the face of more important things, like running and leading a team that's trying to win Super Bowls. Inevitably 4 games wasn't worth spending more of Brady's life in court and potentially being tied up in a Supreme Court case. Just like a 1st and 2nd round draft pick wasn't worth Kraft turning himself into Al Davis (Davis was fighting for a lot more than draft picks). There's a sense of proportions and a sense of what is realistic that you have to keep in mind in these situations. You never do things just for show. An appeal by Kraft would have been symbolic but ultimately meaningless. A suit by Kraft would have been futile and ultimately damaged his reputation with his working partners beyond repair. And at the end of the day, even if you are livid at Kraft for not going full bore, he's going down as one of the greatest owners ever, in the HOF, and the guy who is getting a big chunk of the credit for turning the franchise around.
You don't seem to understand what an appeal is. It doesn't involve SCOTUS.

The patriots chose to accept the penalty.
The cowboys tried to tell a committee they empowered unanimously that jones wanted to take over for it.
Neither of those examples have anything to do with defending yourself against an injustice by following the appropriate means to contest it.

I didn’t say that, did I?

I don’t micro analye why I like or dislike people. And I don’t get OBSESSED with either being a fan of a team or player

No one should

It wasn’t Goodell talking but it was his team. The stuff said that I feel we’re close to lies in court are based around quoting from Wells Report, now the report is completely false so using that seems unethical. Moreover it seems the nfl guys even tried convincing judges that it does not matter about there being no previous player ever suspended over equipment violations. They made misleading statements, misquoted Brady, misquoted by changing words around. For example, reading from Brady’s texts to the equipment guy. Small changes to what was said to make Brady seem complicit in something here..: “ you are good bro” and then saying this is evidence Brady had stuff tampered with and is evidence he was directing the man to deflate... later, Brady’s lawyer points out this is not what was said, he actually was asking the guy a question not making a statement what is actually in the text is :”you good bro”?
The guy says yes I’m a little nervous.

Things like that are small beans to some but in a fedeal court, changing someone else’s words around while presenting a case against them in an attempt to make them seem guilty is slimy. A small change but it’s not all

Of course it’s not up to you to decide how other people should think.

Your need to post in this thread belies your other claims.

Nothing someone says to someone else can ever offend or embarrass me

I can’t feel other people’s feelings
So if someone calls your wife a whore or criticizes your children you aren’t offended?

Plus that’s not what you said.

I’d have to find it and give a link because this was all that I can accurately recall, there’s more stuff they said and did to try to warp things but I’m not going to try and quote it and mess it up because, I think accuracy here is important.

Here's the reality. Brady had options. He didn't take those options. Black and white fact right there. His team and NFLPA were ready to go to the SC. HE killed that avenue for his own personal reasons. He DID NOT take the fight as far as he could. There was a blatant legal path to keep the fight going. Hell he actually had a better argument that Kraft because he could say 2 judges ruled in his favor and that made this a disputed legal question for the SC.

Gee, maybe Brady killed that avenue coz he felt his family (ailing mom and senior middle class dad) being dragged through this **** wasn't nearly worth it?

Especially not while his whole position was being undermined again and again by the owner of the brand and patch on his ****ing uniform...the owner who went completely contrary to Brady's desperate struggle to salvage his reputation, and this gifted legitimacy to every bitter hating trollbag's claim that Brady must have cheated else why would the owner roll over...TWICE!

**** Kraft! In Brady's most vulnerable moment, Kraft consciously and deliberately chose to capitulate to not only the corrupt league and it's ****bag egotistical owners (amounting to bending over with a smile to the same group that wants to see his organization go to ****) in the most pathetic, public, and groveling fashion for the SECOND time (****ing BB over the during cameragate).

Give him all the credit you want for his ownership actions pre-2007. Do NOT expect a Pats fan to give him a pass for his spineless reactions to both cameragate and naturegate on how he sold out his greatest assets (coach and qb who both happen to be GOATs)...let alone how he sold out us the fans.

Plus that’s not what you said.
It’s exactly what I said.

Regarding family, that’s different

But if I heard you insult someone, I may think you’re a jerk but I can’t be insulted myself
