this is me every time NKeal Harry is brought up

Yep wondering how and why we choose N Hairy over Some of the Top young WR's in this League came from that very Draft. And we had more than one chance to get one but Drafted Two Busts.

those were darker days, i feel more confident about the changes they've made to the draft process and the last couple drafts have been solid

cant turn back the clock

Yeah Matt groh!! That was the fix to the drafting process. Caserio and others all were BB subordinates they sound just like him whenever they spoke to the media groh seems to have an independent, realistic approach to the draft.

He got a $187,000 signing bonus which is chump change by NFL standards . The balance of that $4.05 million contract is all non-guaranteed. He’s going to have to earn every penny of it.

And he signed right away - I guess he understands that he has to prove it after the last year.
I like that attitude, and like the structure on the contract.

On WRs.. I just thought I'd mention. I was watching on NFL network yesterday the game against Steelers.. Halloween 2004. no dillion on offense and no ty law in the secondary.

We had patten, Givens and Brown at WR.. we couldn't move the ball at all. I made mention becuase sometimes I believe it good to look back at older games we weren't necessarily blowing teams out on offense back then.

Looking at this year's offense we have so much more. I just thought I'd make mention that we have enough on offense this season to complete and move the ball.

Oh I'm with you brother... but those guys were all possession WRs.. I believe this group is more athletic, and don't forget gisecki I've been telling people he's a problem for LBs and Safeties trying to cover.. he's also a factor in the reicieving corps.. however I'd take the qb from 2004 as over anything lol

We were "okay" to "goodish" on offense in that whole first dynasty. "Balanced" at the end, "Can you believe we won with these guys?" at the begining.

The argument was always do you want Manning the stat whore or Brady the steady 2 TD per game guy who somehow wins. We were always making these arguments about intangibles and how Brady makes everybody else better etc.

Granted, that 2 per game sounds good right now.

I think you just outed yourself as having two accounts...

Absolutely right, Peyton had Harrison, Wayne, Stokely and James at RB all those years as you said to put up stats but never did anything when he faced our D..

We had great possession WRs that knew thier role and excelled in them. I was just making the comparison that the skill group we have now is more than capable.
BOB will game plan to everyone's skill set.. I have a felling there will be an odd man out and I hope it's not my man KB..

He's got 1 year left on his deal and had a tradable contract is my worry. Bo

Lol no brother just 1 account last I checked

I just think with some decent coaching on offense and elite defense and ST play we might be able to tilt 2-3 games which is the difference between a 8-9 season or 10-7 postseason.

Once in postseason we need the QB to step up.

But tbh , I thought Mac was pretty good in the bills game despite subpar coaching . The special teams just screwed us so much .

The only worry I have is Meyers was the one who thrived despite the chaos in coaching and QB play . How much we are going to miss him I donno. Juju might have upside but can he do what Meyers did or a step above ? Only time will tell.

If Meyers turns into a davante Adams with raiders we would just be left scratching our heads with what if...

Let's hope bill was correct to let Meyers go...

You definitely make some great points.. one thing I'll say.. is Bill is usually on the right end more than the wrong.. now we all know last season he wasn't on the right end of things. But when it comes to players he just seems to have that ability to know what a player can be or his potential.. like the Gilmore or judon singings for example. Wich ended being great! I loved Myers and his story, but juju is also proven, he's a YAC machine and brings championship pedigree other young guys can look too in him. He can run every route and is so physical as a WR.

I believe Myers will do well with Josh. Our defense projects to be elite again this season especially with a young lock down corner in Gonzalez. If we can get 11 or 12 wins wich isn't unattainable.. I know we have a tough schedule, But just if we can get 11,12 wins I believe we will win at least a playoff game. Just my thoughts.

I've argued lots of times that you can see from the way they're spending money and draft capital that BB and co. are trending to more of a "just enough" passing game, a rock solid run game. He's aware you have to do this on a budget in the modern NFL. This makes a ton of sense as a bang 4 the buck proposition post-brady.

I have a hunch that we break the wr drafting jinx with demario. He is going to be the successor to Edelman. We are going to see great things from him this season. If tyquan breaks out I see Parker or Bourne to be traded away. If tyquan still shows the drops and inability to stretch the field with his speed, he is a prime IR candidate.

The potential with Douglas and Boutte is over the roof. But Douglas is the one I feel who will shine more, probably even more than Gonzalez / white. Somewhat have a similar rookie season like Onwenu or Marcus where you punch above your weight .

The level of competition for Douglas could be low, but boy ! He was consistently open and his jumping ability for his height is insane .

Totally agree .. just keep drafting a QB every 4 years or 2 years untill you find the one. Keep investing in the trenches or defense and one season you could possibly win the Superbowl similar to what Denver did or eagles did or giants did twice . There is some probable chance that a mid level QB can have MVP level game in Superbowl to edge you forward ( Peyton Manning and foles).

Yes, given our cap room this off season he managed the cap very well I'll say. We'll continue to add players too... as thier are still players that will likely get released and or camp deals.. we seem to always find those types of players.

The closer we get to mini camp and all the players get together the more optimistic I feel.

I assumed Boutte would be the more popular choice with most here to stick with the 53 instead of Douglas. What is your opinion of both if you don’t mind me asking ?
