Milton has all the time he needs: we have him on Sixth Round Contract. He needs quite a bit more than that, I think.

He just looked so deficient in being a NFL QB.The Pats should consider making Milton the backup QB and Brissett the emergency QB.
Brissett is done in NE. Let’s see if we have anything with Milton and design a few gadget plays with him.
What do we have to lose at this point?

I agree on the gadget plays and he fits the mold of Drake Maye in terms of can scramble, big strong arm etc. Don't have to change the offense for him like with Jacoby. I'd love to see him line up in the backfield or as a TE in motion in the red zone, lots of plays you can work with him and Drake.
The odds of him being any good as a QB are small and the Pats are already trying to hype him for the eventual trade him for a draft pick after next Season deal but while they have him might as well use him.
That's also just as good a reason to cut him as anything else, since there's almost no penalty to do so.Milton has all the time he needs: we have him on Sixth Round Contract.
I'm pretty sure that Matt Ryan credited VR with helping him in 2016. It helped the Falcons get a 28-3 lead on the Pats in the SB but we all know what happened after that.If the VR is well done this is a great way to get young QBs to learn to read defenses. I like it.
Give Milton a couple of years to see how far he's come. He can sit and learn before he plays in the NFL: that was the original plan for Maye. But some guys are faster learners. I am not going to boldly say Milton will never become anything in the NFL...we don't know that. Did anybody think Mr Irrelevant Purdy would become a very good player?? We took Zappe over him in that same Draft: again we don't know only time will tell. That's also just as good a reason to cut him as anything else, since there's almost no penalty to do so.
Really, though, he has two things in his favor: (1) the coaching staff's infatuation with his potential (to date, he has contributed zero on the field), and (2) the incentive the current NFL rules give teams to carry three QBs on the 53-man roster.
From what I've heard, so far he's unwilling to try. He might make it as an athletic tight end. And think of the gadget plays you can run with a TE who can throw deep.switch to another position?
I still can't believe how much Netflix paid Sandler for those "movies"2-3 decent gags and a couple of okay cameos and we'd watch and it'd make money. With the **** stuff Sandler has cranked out for Netflix how hard could it be really?

Real talent evaluators need to see the potential before they hit the field. That's also just as good a reason to cut him as anything else, since there's almost no penalty to do so.

Some of Netflix's programs are really good, better than what's on regular TV. Some examples are 'Narcos' and more recently 'Lincoln Lawyer . They also had designated survivor which I really enjoyed !It spoke volumes to their profitability, Their good taste and sense, not so much. Nobody exemplifies walking both sides of the dividing line between so bad it's good (Little Nicky) and so bad it sucks ass (The Ridiculous 6) quite like Sandler
It's too bad really. Edelman was a College QB who became a solid SB Winning WR without having the athletic ability of Milton. And here's Milton with excellent athletic ability, that probably doesn't have what it takes to be an NFL QB, but won't aspire to be a possible stud Big WR/Receiving TE. So instead of being something possibly impactful, he'll probably fade into just another answer to a trivia question. From what I've heard, so far he's unwilling to try. The only thing that I ever watched on Netflix (and it was courtesy of a neighbor letting me use their account), was the 1st Season of The Punisher. I found it to be very entertaining and very much like the way the character of Frank Castle (The Punisher) was meant to be.To clarify, I wasn't dissing Netflix in general just their deal with Sandler lacking some quality guardrails. Overall their programing is as good and often better than many of the alternatives.
