For fun I'm going to go ahead and hype up Joe Milton. I'm not doing this to **** on Drake Maye.

Say what you will about his current command of the offense and the fact he went against 2s and 3s of a very vanilla offense, I like his poise and he just seems to have the aura of a winner. He's great at the podium too. I don't think its out of the realm of possibilities that we could have a legitimate QB controversy at some point.

One of the many knocks on Milton is that he throw too hard and he can't read Defenses yeah throwing lasers really hindered John Elway. I said it before and will say it again Teams are going to kick themselves for passing on Milton. I was elated when we got him.

If he continues to have some good moments in the preseason it will put Drake Maye under pressure, more than people think.

Remember the talk Lamar will be a Bust and he stinks he recently signed one the Biggest contracts in NFL history. You are going to have a hard time if you're not somewhat mobile in Today's game.

In terms of Cunningham, I never took any bait because the kid wasn’t a real QB. I’m not deluding myself in Milton after two series in a preseason game but I liked his poise and confidence and he was able to deliver the short passes and dump offs which I’d heard he supposedly can’t do.

Drake Maye is the QB of the future, or maybe he isn’t. Maybe Milton works hard and improves on his deficiencies and turns our franchise around. Crazier things have happened.

I like our decision to double dip although we have to hope Drake Maye is ready for his “heir apparent” title to be challenged at least a little moving forward.

I'd like to see Maye once they are confident in the OL.

I loved the draft a second QB in day 3. Draft em til you hit.

There is something to be said for being brought in with low expectations.

TFB was a 6th round pick with a #1 overall pick on a big new contract, as the entrenched starter.

Maye is the guy in the spotlight now with Milton as the afterthought.

There is value in being in that lower scrutiny position.

Here is a thought, if the Pats had Milton last season, do they play him and win more games than they did?

I think so Milton's ability to improvise would have won us some games. I wanted the other Tennessee QB last Draft Hendon Hooker the Draft is a crap shoot.
