Word out here in NE Ohio was that the Browns were offering no more than a second round draft choice for Garoppolo and BB was holding out for one or two first rounders. It is obvious that more moves are coming.

Any clue why Hoyer to FA is the move instead of as part of trade package? I imagine it's ostensibly part of cap management. But, it also puts the Patriots backup contingent on signing a free agent - other teams could be "suddenly" interested in Hoyer if they're cap rich competitors.

Did you watch last season? I understand the roster and team in general are much different compared to a year ago, but we've seen Brady miss extended time twice in his career now and NE has emerged with a winning record in both stretches. This year may be a bit different because Brady is a lot more crucial since the rest of the team is playing worse in general, but BB has always been great about QB contingency plans.
