Sound like he’s been reading the NY papers and doesn’t realize he’s one of the very worst quarterbacks in the NFL. The point being made wasn't why the player wanted a higher % of it up front but rather that a trifling difference (in NFL numbers) was something the cheap azz Jete pushed back on.

Youd think the nflpa would be smart enough to do something about that.

Why arent players asking to be paid based on where the stadium is? For Mass players, im pretty sure they get hit with MA tax levels regardless. Though if your a texan, you pay nothing for a home check, but about half to Cali/MA/etc. If you play in miami, you are guaranteed to lose an assload of money to taxes during every divisional away game. Why not structure things so you make nothing for those, but double for home divisional?

Corporations and the wealthy get to move **** around to minimise taxes, why shouldn't the young kid who has no say over who he plays for? And no, the option to decline employment is not realistic. Either everyone is liable for taxes or nobody is. I'm rather surprised we dont hear about these things more often. Its not like rookies have any say in how much they make or who they play for.
