Really? You, as a Pat fan, wanna go there?
Don't lose touch with the fact that everything in YOUR football world revolves around one central, incontrovertible truth: your team sucks and you suck. It's been that way for 49 years and is getting worse by the day, with no end in sight. You are pinning all of your hopes and dreams on an imaginary fairytale future with no basis in present-day reality. And worst of all for you, the off-season is five months away.

I hadn't made the connection before, but since it has already been 49 years of suck, maybe this rodent tanking is just a way to make year 50 an extra special suck.

Well I was thinking of applying to become the next GM.

Careful. It's possible you're already on the secret internal depth chart at quarterback.

yup...the Jete get the Good Housesucking seal of approval...

Let's go here:

You suck, your team sucks and always will.

I can't be mad at ya. Your reactions to posts in the 2016 Jets Suck thread this morning, brought back some fond memories of posting here.

oh right...the "playoff game!!!!"... the greatest game in your pathetic life...and then Pittsburgh happened...and you ate a big plate of toe cheese on toast...you poor dumb ba$tard.

Yeah that's the game immortalized in the "One Game to Glory" DVD......available at all town dumps and in department stores in the Vacuum Cleaner sections where all things that suck are found.

Whatever QB the Jets draft is going to have a great situation. A team that has basically prepped for him a year in advance and has a large amount of cap to support. Want a shiny new FA WR1 and LT?... sure no problem. Here's the credit card.

Yes, building your team and particularly your most important positions through free agency never fails.

Dude don't post if you're looking for some kind of Pyrrhic victory or whatever. It's lame.

"I won the spelling bee contest" is just a freaking moronic response.

Anyways go enjoy your year of purposeful suckage. Wonder what excuse you'll have for us next year.

Sucking is not their excuse. It's their strategy.

Sucking is not their excuse. It's their strategy.

True but that strategy is our resident Jet fan's excuse for sucking this season. When that fails, and it will, I wonder what his excuse will be for the following season.

"Rebuilding Year," suck 1-3 more years, hire new coach, declare team unstoppable. After he gets everything like he wants it. You know, rebuilding.

49th. Straight. Rebuilding year.

We really need to do something for the big 5-0.

By the way, Jetefan, hang in there. I remember a long time ago when I'd never seen my team win the Super Bowl. Now granted, I was rewarded for my loyalty, and you'll just have loyalty itself as a reward, as the object of your adulation abuses you on a continual basis. Very sarah mcglaghlan, arms-of-an-angel SPCA ad.

"Right now, there are dozens, maybe even hundreds of suffering JETE fans who haven't given up yet... Their team has disappointed them, left them outside, freezing, soaking wet, wishing for the warm glow of just one Lombardi trophy their entire lives. Somehow, other teams are hungrier, but JETE fans have long ago been starved of any hope.

With your help, we can connect JETE fans to new teams, work with Swedish hostage counselors to talk out their feelings of identification with their abusers, and help one of the human species' closest relatives, the JETE fan.

They're shrinking in number every year... they're huddled together around televisions in the fall and winter, crying. Won't you help?"

There is a myth going around that tanking is a good strategy and gives you a better chance of landing a franchise quarterback and therefore a better chance of turning around the franchise. This is largely based on fiction and uses anomalies as evidence for its effectiveness. There have not been many cases in the NFL where tanking has really paid off; even landing the #1 overall pick for a "sure fire" NFL star quarterback has been largely unsuccessful. In the last ten years, there are almost too many top-10 QB busts to count.

I think most know there's no "sure fire" anything in the league.

The #1 pick just allows you to pick your preferred guy. No guarantee he'll be any good.

Next year the pats could present the jests with a cake when they come to town for their yearly beat down. It could have fifty candles.

Green Beans win! Quackenbush throws for 127 yards in amazing offensive display, defeating the Titans 7-3! They're building a winner a year ahead of schedule -- bye bye No. 1 pick!
