It's easy, and only takes a few moments.I'd sniff around and see if he'll be the #2 CB for low money here to piss off the Jets. I could be wrong, but aren't the Jets on the hook for his salary even if he is playing for another team? I could be wrong, but wasn't the issue guaranteed money?
I would cry seeing a back in shape starting Revis across from Butler.Revis can still be an excellent #2 cb or a strong safety. If Ryan doesn't come back and Revis wants a pay cut i would be open to see him return
That's not even bringing up the underhanded way he left town, which he obviously still had some part of. Revis isn't coming back here. No way. After his post deflate gate comments he won't be back. This isn't akin to Mankins dissing Kraft. This is a lousy jet being a jet.
No thanks he's old and fat and disloyal and has nothing left to play for. In legal trouble. Nope.
The fat part may not be true according to this. He may be skinny.
Certainly but Ryan is going to cost over 10 mill a year. Revis at 4 would be better but I think Revis retires because he won't play for what teams will be willing to pay him.If the last two years are anything to go by then I'd rather have Ryan than Revis at this point in their careers.
watRyan is going to cost over 10 mill a year
Yes. Wait until you see what he gets.
He's getting 5m a year minimum. Could see even going up to 8. He could rebound and be a good #1, or have a smaller rebound and be a good 2 or 3, but if he has no rebound, he has no place on an NFL roster. No thanks.
I do not believe that is correct. The jets owed him 6 mill guaranteed and he can go and he can go and get paid whatever a team is willing to pay in too if that. Here the thing. To my understanding, Revis will get $6 Million for doing nothing this season from the Jets if no one signs him.
If someone signs him for $5 Mil then the Jets will have to foot the difference so that it totals $6 million. He does not make any additional money unless someone signs him to a deal worth more than $6 million.
I think in Revis' mind, even if a team pays him $8 million season in his head it will only register as $2 million since he's getting $6 million anyway. He'll think "Is it really worth it for a measly $2 million?" I think Revis will be unable to convince himself to motivate himself to play this year unless someone overpays him. He might take a year off to "collect his thoughts" or something and then in 2018 he'd mount a comeback because "he misses the game".
