Jets Are Apparently Interested in Caley

I am sure Nick Caley thought he would be next in line after McDaniels left but some people thought otherwise oh well.

Can the Patriots block that?

Teams cannot block promotions, but can block lateral moves. So, for example, because he wasn't a coordinator, the Pats couldn't block Mayo from interviewing for DC positions.
He’s out of contract.

Has any team lost even close to the number of coaches to another franchise in recent years as the Patriots? To say it's getting annoying would be an understatement.

He gone.

True, but it wouldn't matter if he were under contract.
They can block it like they did when LVR tried to interview him.

Edit: nvm I see you're talking about lateral vs promotions.

Well I guess we will see what Caley can do.
Funny, I thought their Oc was doing well there.
Hard to blame him for Wilson.

Stay away.

Since 2000 the Jets have been through

Mike Lefluer
Dorall Loggaines
Jeremy Bates
John Mouton
Chan Gailey
Marty Morninweg
Tony Sparano
Brian Schottenhiemer
Mike Heimendinger
Paul Hackett
Dan Henning

What makes anyone believe that the Jets are going to get it right?

Not really too shocking I guess. For some reason Bill didn't want to give him a try as the playcaller in 2022 and promote him to OC in 2023 if it went well. It's hard to say if he'll get hired though since he's never called plays at all as far as I'm aware...

Triumph: even a blind squirrel finds a nut every once in a while.

As I recall, there was a feeling that he wanted to go to LV and they blocked it. Bill didn’t want to put a guy in charge of Offense who would only be there a year …that certainly didn’t age well did it?

IF we had hired him instead of Fat Matt maybe we see a version of McDaniels Offense and Mac don't look half bad.

Think this ship sailed last year.
