Jarvis Landry: Dolphins will sweep the Patriots this year

Not only have the Dolphins not swept the Patriots since 2000, they were the last AFC east team to do it.

I loathe the "What was he supposed to say, that they'll lose?" argument every time something like this happens. Maybe the BB Brady era has spoiled us for sportsmanship. How about STFU and say nothing and let your play do the talking?

I agree, and that's the thing about confidence... if you have confidence in yourself and your team, you don't need to go around saying it into a microphone and reporters... that isn't confidence, that's just bravado, macho bull****

There is a right and wrong way to answer these types of questions.. from the 2 quotes in that article, I didn't see him actually say they'll sweep the Pats, the only thing he said that was borderline was that the Pats aren't their big brother anymore.. he could have just left that sentence out entirely and it would have been a perfectly reasonable response

Often times, psychologically, the people that need to go around telling everyone how "confident" they are can actually be pretty insecure. I don't think that would be the case for Landry, I think it was more just an attention grab.. they got steam rolled in wild card round of playoffs and the Pats went on to a legendary SB victory... so this is just his way of getting his name out there, using the Patriots publicity to draw attention to himself

Jarvis you silly goose....hopefully you and the rest of the LOLphins have early tee times on Feb 4. You won't want to miss the Pats opening drive. My grandpa remembers watching the LOLphins in the big game a while back. Here's a still shot of a happy Miami player.

Gr8 plan, until a pissed off gorilla then proceeds to rip your arms from their sockets and beats you to death with them.

then why bother playing the game of football if you are going to be afraid of the gorilla all the time?

Wow..

Give him some anti psych meds..err.. Delusions of grandeur...we lose to miami even once..ill eat ten habeneoro peppers

Why is this news

We can't just hear these things and move on From?

Remember when Baltimore whine-ravens said "hope you dont meet us in the playoffs?"

Saying **** like this shows they are a less mentally mature team than our Patriots.

This is the way it is these days. If you talk crap about the Pats, you make front page news. The Pats are what's hot, hip and happening. Any other sports team pales in comparison to the attention they get. When opposing fans see the word "Patriot" it makes their blood boil. Like I said in another thread, embrace it.

But then again, does Landry know that THIS GUY is his QB?

Ryan Tannehill is the gift that keeps on giving. I could easily see him in year 15 on the verge of a breakout, with the fan base and organization still making excuses for him.

Every year we get something. "Nothing wrong with a bit of confidence"

I will bet Jarvis Landry any amount of money that they will not sweep the Patriots this year. I'll bet him one quadrillion dollars. Any number of dollars, really, doesn't even have to be real.

Is that more than a gazillion?

The trouble with the dolphins is that they are in florida. They cant practice that much because of alligators eating players. There are many more negative aspects i could point out but why bother?

I've been worried about the Dolphins ever since Suh signed with them.

The Pats pushed those softies around like rag dolls the last game of the season. And to put an explanation point on it LG ran over Duh for the final Pats touchdown. But their uniforms are such a pretty green

Sort of makes you miss 2005-6 when the Pats were "old" and "slow" and "done" and Brady was good but his luck had run out...

I mean, that at least was a fair fight, the whole league saying the same thing (in those down years when we only won the division...)

This is just "fantasyland quote to prove we're not here to kiss BB's rings unless they're toe rings."

Quoth our fearless leader,

Sad.

Maybe it us just me, but when I am having an issue with a gorilla, punching him in the mouth is not my preferred method of dealing with it.

Punching a bully? Maybe.

Switch off your Madden game, Jarvis.

If you are one of NE's opponent, you have to stand up to them. It may not work, and in most cases it doesn't, but we've lost 2 super bowls to an inferior team because they did just that - punch us in the mouth.
