Is there an Appeals Process for NFL Owners?

I believe plain and simple he never would he would have never won, never would have had support from other owners, period. It would drag on and be another distraction to the entire organization so he took the road of least resistance sure it sucks but it's the right call.

It'll be interesting to see what the NFLPA does here in the next couple weeks.

Sure you can disagree with me that's fine but this hasn't changed anything for me in regards to the Patriots it's just increased my level of hatred towards Goodell and don't get me even started on witch hunt Wells.

Better to fight for what you believe and lose than turn your back on those that support you. Kraft could have fought and we the fans would have supported him and put a friggin bust of his face on the Prudential and set up weekly prayer sessions where we pray to the god that is Bob Kraft. Instead, we spit on him and the way he has treated us.

Yeah, you're right. Billionaires always tell you what they are thinking and planning in public. I'm sure he's never run into a situation where something unfair has happened to one of his companies before.

Do you think multi billionaires signal everything they think, plan and do in public so everyone knows?

Woah...did Kraft go from billionaire to multi-billionaire in the span of one paragraph??? Dude is GOOD!

I don't think there is. Jerry Jones has been mentioned, but in this article he threatens to sue, pretty much like Kraft did, then withdraws the threat.

So, if there's no appeal, he sues the league in federal court.

Any lawyers here give me the basis of that suit?

We [owners] gave Goodell unlimited powers, now we want to sue him for using them.

Thoughts?

My understanding is the only appeal the Pats have for the $1M and draft choices is to the Commissioner and it has to be done by tomorrow. There is an ownership agreement that forbids filing a law suit against the league by owners. Players are not part of these agreements.

IMO behind the scenes the other owners pressured Kraft and Goodell to work something out. Again IMO that could be a reduction of the fine or draft choices or both or Brady's suspension gets void. We will have to wait til Brady's appeal to the league is over. IMO if nothing changes then Kraft sold out.

Yeah well I'm kind of embarrassed with some of the people on this board but they're entitled to their own opinion. It's not like Kraft made this decision on his own until I here otherwise I'm not making any judgments yet.

Why didn't Jerrah sue over losing 10m in cap space? He over-spent in an un-capped year. Huh?? That's an on-field issue. Like ours. Your example is an off-field/monetary issue.
Jones did appeal and an independent arbitrator (not that I know what that means anymore) ruled against Jones and Snyder. I am sure Jones thought taking the NFL to court again over $10M spread over two years was not worth it. It was the same calculus that Kraft used, the juice was not worth the squeeze.

I take it back. They apparently have a sham arbitration proceeding, I was wrong

  1. 4.3 billion USD (2015)
    Robert Kraft, Net worth
Sorry, I was having fun with words...you said 'billionaire' in your first paragraph, then 'multi-billionaire' I your second.

But if you have to explain a joke it's not a good one...so my bad
