behind our current O line? Matt Light (although decent in commercials) scares the heck out of me quite often. His "turnstile" weakness, as well as that of Kaczur and even Mankins occasionally doesn't make me all that confident in Tom's health for the upcoming season. My question is: How confident are you in the current OL ability to keep Brady "safe and healthy" back there this year?? thx

More confident than I am in your ability to rate O-Lines...

Hey, someone on this board is giving me grief because I've got your prediction about Cassel and Gutz posted in my sig. So.....

1.) Are you now of the belief that Cassel will have the better NFL career?

and

2.) Do you want me to remove the quote from my sig?

If the answer to both is yes, I will take it out.

Let me go trendy and rate this excerable thread with ONE star

Im not worried!! The reason why we had so many sacks last year was because Cassel held onto the ball to long!! Brady will have no problems and he is also working out and working out helps to fight against injuries!!

We're doomed.

Maybe we're not talking '07 offense here, but I think I speak for a few on this board when I say that the defense is much more of a current concern than the offense.

Truth is : with Cassel, a fine player - but very, very untested - the Patriots were more than capable at scoring. The losses on offense are minimal, the potential for improvement is quite probable...

The defense will decide how the 2009 Patriots do. I might be wrong. To answer the question : No, I am not worried about Brady's health as much as other aspects of the team.

Here's the more important question : are you worried about Baby Brady sightings ?

The sky is falling.

Quick. Someone send BB a memo to improve the O-Line in case he overlooked that part.

Hurry!

I dunno. I wouldn't want to meet any of those guys in a dark alley after suggesting they couldn't protect the QB. So, put me down for, "If Tommy's ready to drop back into the pocket behind them, it's good enough for me."

I guess you could say that I am worried in the least about it.

Nope. OL is intact from '07 when it was awesome except for 1-2 games. Tragedy could befall again but it's very unlikely.

I'm not worried about Tom Brady's health...I think Brady will be hit and be alright. There's no reason to think he won't be fine. Carson Palmer plays on a team that never has the lead and his knee injury was worse, but he's still fine.

I am worried about the play of our O-line though...I would like more consistency and stability there.

thanks...at least this is a fair reply.

Finally a rational mind.....thanks for your post.

This site is such an effin' homer fest. "DA SKY IS FALLING!!1!" "If the o-line was a problem then BB WOULD HAVE ADDRESSED IT!!11!!". How can you people discuss football if you're going to post replies like that.

I'm worried that Light gets dominated by the elite edge rushers, and about Neal's durability too. The o-line isn't bad by a long shot, though. As nice as an upgrade at LT would be, they have an above-average OL either way.

Well, we thought we were doing OK, but then you came along and pointed out our inadequacies. Thanks for the illumination!

I'm gonna take my 22-0 fantasy football roster and go home now....
