Just to add some notes:
Tom Brady has had only had 2 one-and-dones in 10 playoff seasons
Peyton Manning has had 8 one-and-dones in 12 playoff seasons
Tom Brady has thrown more INTs than TDs in only 1 playoff season, and that was a one-and-done.
Peyton has thrown more INTs than TDs in 2 playoff seasons, one that was a one-and-done and one that was his SB winning year.
Tom Brady's TD:INT ratio in the playoffs is 42:22
Peyton Manning's TD:INT ratio in the playoffs is 32:21
Tom Brady has the most postseason wins of any quarterback in NFL history.
Peyton Manning is sub .500 in the playoffs.
Brady's playoff opponents (.714) have had a higher winning regular season winning percentage than have Manning's playoff opponents (.699).
Manning's lost a playoff game to an 8-8 team (2008 SD)
It's easy to see why Irsay would be willing to move on from Manning in favor of a talent like Luck.
I haven't read through the entire thread and I'd assume that someone has brought it up by now, but these facts make Irsay's comments about Tom Brady "never having consistent numbers, and yet he has three of these (rings)," even stranger.
What the hell is wrong with this guy? Who could honestly view Brady's career as not being "consistent?" He's the prime example of a QB who has proven himself to be a very productive and consistent winner. In all actuality, many of Brady's stats are much better than Manning's.
It's times like these I wish I had a twitter account, just so I could question Irsay for his ridiculous thinking. I'd love to hear his wet brained theory and explanation.
I get where Irsay was going, and I agree with his general notion. If not for bad officiating and a sick/injured defense that collapsed in the second half (2006), Manning would still be this generation's Dan Marino. Irsay just stated it badly. He's not the brightest bulb on the tree even in his sober times, and I wouldn't be surprised if he'd already been in his cups before he made that post.
Looks like someone was up late partying:

he can blame polian and the conservative dungy for this as well.
Premise: Peyton Manning just never had the defense to support him like Tom Brady did.
