While he's right about the one and dones, I wouldn't rag on the dude that helped get you even one title and made you tons of money. Colts probably still playing in the RCA Dome without Peyton. Glad we have Kraft and not this clown.

Same week they are planning to honor him before the game and also now kinda take shots at him. He can blame polian too. He was obsessed with the stats of his colts especially compared to NE.

I don't remember Irsay saying these things when Polian was around. Or was Irsay always saying dumb things?

It's more of a rip at Polian, really. Manning just was part of the transition from the star-driven (offense + sack monsters on D)-only philosophy to a more conventional approach, building depth on both sides of the ball and at least trying to win the battles at the line of scrimmage.

Is this new model part of them trading away a first round pick for an overrated back up RB? That Trent Richardson trade is working out well for them. I think they are going to learn quickly that Trent Richardson was nothing special in Cleveland, not because teams put 9 in the box against them every play, but because he is nothing special.

I think they are going to learn quickly that Trent Richardson was nothing special in Cleveland, not because teams put 9 in the box against them every play, but because he is nothing special.

Agreed, he just has no burst. That doesn't mean he can't be a pretty decent RB, but you can go and find perfectly adequate RBs with athletic limitations in the late rounds, or even as an UDFA (see: BJGE). On the rare occasion that RBs are worth 1st or even 2nd round picks, it's because they have all of that plus home run ability that sets them apart from the late round guys.

Looking back, it's kinda funny that the scouting report on Ridley was basically that he was what Richardson turned out to be, and the scouting report on Richardson was that he was a better version of Ridley.
