If we track Mac Jones yards per attempt across the seasons we see totals of 7.3, 6.8, and now 6.2 this season. I can accept that Mac Jones is a "dink and dunker" with not a lot of arm strength. But how did his arm somehow REGRESS even more after 3 years of pro level football weight room training?
Sheesh - even Cam had a Y/A of 7.2yds during his Pats stint with a 65.8% completion rate (better than Mac's 65.2 and 63.7 last and this year respectively), and Cam faced what looked like 8 in the box every time. Of note is Cam's PocketTime of 2.6 versus Mac's 2.2 and 2.3, but Cam had to deal with a pressure rate of 26% versus Mac's 19.2% and 23.3%, so Cam threw for more yards per attempt and was more accurate despite getting pressured more. This is despite not being able to make a simple dump off throw seemingly half the time and having games where he didn't have a single drafted WR playing (maybe that was just 1, but a lot of others included N'Keal plus undrafteds).

Edit: Interesting that Cam had a higher Yds/Comp at 11.0 than Mac's ever had (10.8, 10.4, 9.7), and in the stat that matters, Cam was 7-8 while Mac's been 17-18 (reg season) so far.

Of course you have to accept it, you have no input in it.
Unless you abandon the team.

If you don’t buy tickets someone else will. They don’t need you.
But all that aside what dies complaining accomplish?
I've never looked at what I do as complaining. It feels more like demanding my money's worth, and that extends beyond sports. When I paid to see Robin Williams make us laugh I didn't appreciate the political sermon. Stick to what I'm paying you for.

I think with sports we love our teams and want them to do well, but as we age that intensity wanes a bit. In stead of complaints why don't we can call them suggestions?

Also another completely random thing that may only interest me, but Jakobi Meyers had two 100+yd receiving games (169,111) with Cam at QB, and one (111) with Zappe. He had zero with Mac.

The defense is shot. They lost their top 4 dbacks. They just lost their top d lineman. They continuously get behind because they are playing 4th string dbacks and have gone against probaly 3 of the top 10 teams in the league and 1 with a damn good d they actually beat. Their o-line hasn't played together at all and their best 2 linemen missed all of training camp and one is still battling an injury. Their offense was built to run the ball and shorten the game. They are playing from behind every game and can't run the ball because of the above, against really good teams, so is anyone really surprised they are losing? Of course to be fair, after all that, they have only been out of 1 game all season. While it would be amazing to have Tom Brady, I am not really sure how he would have done with this team. Beyond that, what team can recover from losing their top 4 defensive backs? What coach can plan for that. Yes the o-line had some questions before the season, but so far the questions have all ended up pretty badly. Sometimes there really isn't much a team can do when every break goes against them and so far, that seems to be this season.
I thought that the 03-04 winning teams had issues with injuries to DBs but nothing like losing the top 4. They also had an offense, something that this team doesn't seem to have yet.

Of course it’s complaining. You paid to see Robin Williams, not to decide his content. If you don’t like it don’t pay, someone else will. Complaining about his content is pointless.
It’s the same with an NFL team. You choose to be a fan. Why would you choose to involve yourself in something you have no control over only to spend your time complaining about something you have no control over.

I always swear I won't get pulled into an argument with you and you still find ways to get me.
He's one of my favorites. When I first came here I compared him to a martial artist taking on a group. I even used a video.

Interesting. Maybe they thought Juju was a better fit for Mac.

Meyers is a very good WR2 on most teams(borderline WR1) so it was puzzling that the Pats moved on from him when they don't even have a WR1. His 11 million a year salary that he got from Vegas wasn't expensive

In only 3 games, his 199 yards would be leading the Patriots.

I paid to hear his comedy, not his politics. He was great btw.

I became a fan of football long before the greedy owners and TV took over and drove the costs out of reach for many families. I used to think those rising costs came from baseball but an old article I read recently also placed emphasis on TV's battle over the NYFL in the 90's.

And is the NYFL treated like a normal business? I think they get some benefits that nobody in Hollyweird or anywhere else get.

For our next topic, let's discuss the Taylor Swift fiasco. Does anyone believe that bs about her and Kelce. I sure don't.

Meyers was team Mac last year in the great Patricia war and was a casualty of that. Jakobi clearly has/had more upside than Juju despite what half this board said in March.

Fans always show up for the NFL. What exactly do you think would change if they didn’t? Owners would decide to stop not trying to win?
I can only speak for myself of course, but when I dumped MLB it wasn't to send them a message. They couldn't care less. I did that for my own peace of mind and I feel better for it. I don't miss it at all either and that could be the case for some fans with the NYFL.

No you paid to see him. He decides what he does.
He is dead and you are still complaining.

Not sure how all the rest applies.

And nothing has changed.

There's no NFL HC that has won **** in their 70s. The laws of physics don't cease to exist in Bill's stove.
The odd thing is that the same folks who tried to deny Brady's greatness because of his age are now denying that Bill's age matters.

Trust me, we aren't the same at 70 as we are at 50. Not even close.

You're really stretching things now. That's what I like about you. But your comment about his death was out of place.

Since it bothers you so much, let's use a live comic for the sake of discussion. When we went to see Bill Burr Saturday he advertised it as a comedy show and it was. Of course he got into politics but it was with jokes, not with a political sermon.

I'll give you the last word on this because it's gone on too long.

This is misleading. Cam only threw 368 times for 2657 for 8 TDs and 10 INTs. The Pats picked and chose where he threw the ball. It wasn't like he was a normal QB. Even the mobile QBs throw more than that with better results.

Do you seriously think that you complaining about his content accomplishes anything?
He isn’t going to change it. If everyone who feels like you do boycott him, he will still sell out.

My larger point is why go through life complaining? What does it accomplish?
Take the Patriots for example. Let’s say they win 4 games all year.
How you feel about that, what you say about it, and who you blame will have zero impact on anything. No decisions will be affected by you wallowing in it.

So why waste your time wallowing in negativity? If you mission as a fan is to make sure you are mad at the right person and make sure everyone knows you are unhappy with poor results, why bother being a fan? You can’t change it.

Why not be hopeful. I took a 1-3 start and tried to find hope. That turned into looking ahead as seeing the bar isn’t too high for the team to right itself.
They play 4 of the next 6 games against bad teams. The formula for winning those isn’t to be a great team but just to be decent. In between they face 2 division rivals and imagine if they could take one of those too!!
In 6 weeks there is the potential to right the ship and Bevin contention.
I’d rather approach those 6 weeks from that perspective than to wallow in criticism, blame and despair.
What does being miserable add to your quality of life.

I guess some people just like being unhappy and broadcasting it, but I’ve never seen the value, in any aspect of life.

Are you Meyer's mother? I liked him but no one thinks he is a #1 wr, no one.

Not all teams have a WR1. That would make the WR2 level talent WR1. On the Pats, Meyers would have been the WR1.

What teams would Belichick take over if he's fired from the Patriots?

Bears? Chargers? Jets? Giants? Rams? Cowboys? Commanders? Bucs?

I think JuJu was more in line with what they do schematically. JuJu is was a far better YAC guy than Meyers who typically catches the ball and goes down pretty quickly. I was on board with JuJu.

Where Belichick and the front office deserves all the criticism in the world is that they took him knowing his knee was an issue.
