It's easy, and only takes a few moments. They win week 1 if they don’t fumble it away and are 2-1 with a rookie QB and that loss was largely due to ints. (And the Ints were a throw affected by being hit while throwing, a drop and garbage time)On paper this isn’t a super talent deficient team. Aghlor, Bourne, meyers are solid not elite but solid receivers. David Andrews is a pro bowl center, Isaiah Wynn was a first round draft pick 3 years ago. Hunter Henry and Jonu smith are a huge upgrade from Matt lacosse and Ryan Izzo. Yet so far we haven’t seen that translate to wins yet.
Nobody is giving us a chance in hell against the bucs, I just think the ceiling for this team is higher than most people think. The play calling has been atrocious, it’s all vanilla plays, no motion or anything like that. Teams know we have a rookie qb so they’re blitzing him on every other play. The coaching staff needs to keep this in mind.
Starting 1-2 is no cause for panic, as previous patriot teams have gotten it together in October. I think nothing would hurt Bill’s ego more than to lose to Brady at home and fall to 0-3 in home games and 1-3 on the year. I think it’s going to be closer than everyone thinks it’ll be.
Aghlor and Bourne haven't done anything note worthy (i actually like Bourne). Wynn has not been impressive IMO and i expect more from a first rd pick. Jonnu had a dreadful game and we need the TE position to be involved. RBs need to be able to pick up the blitz and i think that is why we don't see Rham out there as he has struggled. Everyone needs to put on their big boy pants for Sunday and show out.On paper this isn’t a super talent deficient team. Aghlor, Bourne, meyers are solid not elite but solid receivers. The OL being poor in all offensive aspects: run and pass has been the biggest surprise and the fatal flaw in this years' team and through complimentary football has impacted a defense that so far has been able to deliver early in games before too much time on the field (allowing both fatigue and the offense to "figure them out"), terrible field position, etc. They've been underwhelming for sure. I thought we would have a running attack as potent as Cleveland and Ravens maybe a tad below them since they're more dynamic, but a B+, A- type of running game would do wonders for.us
If not for all that bad play and turnovers we would be 2-1 against 2 mediocre teams and 1 bad one...Yeah I guess any team can kinda say that I suppose. If we didnt suck we would be better. They win week 1 if they don’t fumble it away and are 2-1 with a rookie QB and that loss was largely due to ints. After 50 years of coaching and 8 rings do you really think belichick even has an ego much less could have it hurt by one game?
Who was the quarterback
The offensive free agent additions need to step up. Point blank. Jonnu needs to A, catch the ball, and B do something after the catch. Henry needs to be more than Matt Lacosse 2.0 and actually show up. The thing that worries me about both these guys is similar to what happened with Danny Amendola when he first signed here. Danny Amendola produced at a similar level to what he did pre New England but was expected to produce at a higher level due to his new paycheck. It wasn't Amendola's fault he was paid to be something he wasn't. It seems like the same thing may be happening with the two TE's (more Jonnu than HH) as Jonnu is currently on pace for a career high in catches per game (over half a catch per game more than his previous high 2.7 to 3.3) and pretty close to where he has been yards per game wise the last few years as well. HH's numbers are down on average but not by a ton.Aghlor and Bourne haven't done anything note worthy (i actually like Bourne). Actually they should be 3-0 if the Saints players catch the Rona instead of the coaches. They win week 1 if they don’t fumble it away and are 2-1 with a rookie QB and that loss was largely due to ints. (And the Ints were a throw affected by being hit while throwing, a drop and garbage time)

But who was the starting QB?I saw an eventual SB winner get pounded pre-Cincy trip…
Most people just follow along and those 3 things are things repeated alot nationally. Just have to hope that we put a good solid year together and build on it next year. BB played with pocket aces for 20 years and played them well. Lets see what he does with this hand. It's cute how fans think the Pats can have a good record strictly based on:
1. We won the offseason, come on man.
2. We did it before so we can do it again.
3. Bill is a great HC, he can win with any avg QB.
Actually they should be 3-0 if the Saints players catch the Rona instead of the coaches.

I would agree with much of this except for the belief that our issues are mostly coaching by our assistants and I just don't think Bill is as plugged in as he used to be. I think Patricia is more the hands on guy which I know is terrifying.Last year was one year. We COVID issues. We far more talent issues. More often than not including 2008 without Brady, the Pats got better as year went along.
And also basing it on the fact the Pats have 11 new starters from last year including a rookie QB. Forget the Patriots. Most teams in this situation would get significantly better as the year goes on especially if they have systems as complicated as the Patriots.
On the day they went 2-2 in 2014, they all looked bad.But who was the starting QB?
Starting WR?
TE?
Defense?
Agholor is graded #47 out of 105. Not terrible (#46 last season).I should probably pump the brakes, but the Agholor signing is probably going to end up being a... less than solid FA acquisition.
Still plenty of time to prove me wrong, but I'm not feeling optimistic. Judon looks even worse.
Yeah I was limiting my post to reality, I know that’s not your thing.Actually they should be 3-0 if the Saints players catch the Rona instead of the coaches.
