How Many Titles Would Belichick Have WITHOUT Brady?

I'm guessing none. We'll see what a genius Belichick is when he pushes TB out the door. I have a feeling Bill wants to show everyone he can win without Tom Brady -- that's why he's keeping JG and that's why Tom isn't going to be around much longer in NE.

Good luck, Bill. You're going to need it.

Let's get real, BB could win without Brady, but Brady could win without BB. However BB would win more with out Brady than Brady would win without BB.

However it's all mute since this has never been the case.

So why the thread?

All coaches need that great QB and brady's that. I think he would excel on a team like houston that just need's that QB.

What if jimmy wants to be a starter? The guy wants to play!! That will be a problem. I hope this doesn't end up like the favre situation. I love brady
Same here which begs the question as to why he wasn't trade. We will see

The best reason for Belichick keeping Garrapolo is because he feels they could win a Super Bowl with Garrapolo if Brady did get injured. They also will have the carryover money to franchise Garrapolo and still trade him next offseason.

Mallet, Cassel and Hoyer all "learned under the best for a couple years" too.

Any team that would trade multiple high picks for an unproven QB they will control for 1 year is foolish.

Loyko clearly said he know for a fact they declined a first and second. So whatever you think of JG there were teams that wanted him.

I don't know if they would get as much. QB class much better in 2018. Also brady will be heading for 41. It depends on how they feel about brissett. The guy should have been dealt. Who knows. Maybe he can still be dealt. Who knows.

You must not believe the loyko report that they where offered a first and a second.
That's correct: I don't automatically believe everything I read on the internet.

Did the Pats get blown out by the Chiefs again last night? We're on to Cincinnati.

Ohhhhhhh...... some guy with a twitter account and a web page said he "knew something for a fact"..... well, I guess that's that.

Yeah. Same guy who called out moves right before they happened in the last 2-3 years again and again. But whatever make yourself look dumb by downplaying what Loyko says.

Because this is secretly a trade or don't trade JG thread.

They probably wouldn't get as much but they get insurance i Brady goes down as well as another year to develop Brissett. It's a balancing act.

Hate to tell you this but if a team's willing to gamble on the likes of watson and trubinsky than the same can be said for jimmy g who in my mind's better than those guys. I believe the report.

All I said is I don't believe everything I read on the internet, whether it's from the almighty Loyko or anyone else.

You make yourself dumb for believing something simply because you want it to be true. It's called confirmation bias.

FYI: I've been following that guy for a few months now. He's pretty good. He's worth a follow.

It is called trusting people that have repeatedly nailed it.

...and didn't say "hearing whispers that..." but the much, much rarer "I know for a fact that." That kind of claim from a respected source has to carry some weight. Anybody have a comparable source/evidence that it DIDN'T happen?

Because this is secretly a trade or don't trade JG thread.

ALL threads are Garoppolo trade threads. Just wait for the gameday thread the week before the trade deadline!

For me it's simple. Brady will be 40 this season. I don't expect a fast decline but we can't pretend it's not possible. He's also of the age that he probably wouldn't be making a comeback if he had another major injury.

You said it yourself, Jimmy is better than the guys that were picked last night. Well, if you're convinced he can be a franchise guy, why ship him off? Yes, we can get draft capital for him and it won't be near as much if he leaves as a free agent. But how would you feel if it turns out we need Jimmy going into 2018 but he's now the franchise QB for a rival?

For the record, I'm ok if we trade him and get a nice haul in return. But I also certainly understand if the team has pause over shipping off a guy they may feel could lead our team going forward if the unthinkable happens.
