Harmon Visits Costa Rica...

Well, hope it isn't true. And if it is true, hope he doesn't get cut.

Sounds odd. He got caught but they let him leave the country?

Realistically, if he doesn't get jail time how many games are we losing him to a suspension?

Article 46. ****dell could suspend him indefinitely from the league and they can just go off a vague Costa Rican newspaper article

I can't vouch for the site, or the accuracy of the story at this point, but here's a English language version:

Patriots S Duron Harmon arrested with marijuana in Costa Rica

The 27-year-old had flown in from Fort Lauderdale International Airport in Florida and had 58 grams of marijuana confiscated. Costa Rica’s Ministry of Public Security stated that Harmon was also found in possession of three pipettes with marijuana oil, one confection of THS and four glass containers containing compressed marijuana (said to weigh 4.3 grams). They further added that Harmon was barred from entering the country by the order of a prosecutor.

Not my boy
If he gets suspended or worst cut.
Safety just moved up the list of needs.
Kenny Vaccaro Bill Belichick on line one.

seeing as how Costa Rica has served as a MASSIVE staging ground for the transportation of Colombian cocaine for decades, it would seem Harmon chose the wrong "illegal" substance.

"In Costa Rica the law which governs drug offenses is the Law of Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Law # 8204. The law is aimed at those who “commercialize, provide, manufactures, elaborates, refines, transforms, extracts, prepares, cultivates, produces, transports or sells drugs” So clearly the cultivation or growing of Marijuana under this provision would be illegal. Now that same law does indicate that the personal consumption of illegal drugs is not a crime (Article 58) but instead is considered a Public Health issue (Art. 79). However to further confuse the issue the Costa Rican Health Care Law (Ley General de Salud) Law 5395 indicates that Marijuana is a “prohibited plant and subject to destruction” (Article 126, 127). The Court’s in Costa Rica have generally held that possession for personal use or cutlivation for personal use do not constitute a crime so long as it is not done with the intent to distribute. Bear in mind that in Costa Rica the decisions of one court are not necessarily binding on another so it would all depend on the circumstances of each case.

Unless Harmon took the weed to Costa Rica TO SELL...there is nothing to see here.

He got popped with a little weed. The two of you are ready to force him to live out his days in a Costa Rican underground prison camp. :D

Now...what Goodell does is another matter altogether, but I’m guessing a multi game suspension will be coming.

What an offseason. Jordan Richards just got bumped up on the depth chart for the first couple of games. As Charlie Brown would say, good grief.

He might get suspended but he's 99% not gonna get cut unless he was dealing...

Goodell will cite a certain article we all know too well, say that Harmon's actions were against the integrity of the game, condemn him to life imprisonment at Guantanamo, and then fine the Patriots $2m and 3 first round draft picks.

Gang of weed huh?

He won’t get cut over that. And generally who gives a **** ? The only stupid thing was to travel with it, he should have just gotten some there.

He will not get suspended but if anything will enter the NFL drug program which just means more controls and less weed for him for a while.

Why the F... would anyone bring M to Costa Rica?? There is mucho dope in Central America..

Is Costa Rican security better than Ft. Lauderdale security?? "Fiscal Control Police" better than TSA???

Then there is the Ty Law defense, his cousin did it;);)..
