We just watched the Ravens and Chiefs both lose because of their inability to run.

The Ravens were the best running team in the NFL last year.

That said, I do agree that Vrabel is going to focus on the trenches both on offense and defense. I expect free agency to focus on both, to allow them some flexibility with the draft to do BPA.

Obviously we are a little down on Rham because of fumbling issues. Obviously that needs to be fixed but ignoring that I think we have a pretty good duo.

Vrabel will need to decide how much he's concerned about Rham. For now I'm not giving up on him.

That said even ignoring the fumbling if he wants to run like he did with Henry I could see him getting aggressive and going after someone else to improve the position. Perhaps Jeanty.

Vrable has also made comments about the importance of the passing game. There has to be some balance, how much run vs. pass will be dependent on the weapons available. If they end up with a Henry calibre weapon, run the ball down the other teams throat and keep the ball away from the other offense. At a minimum the team needs to be able to consistently move the ball on the ground if the opposing defense sells out to stop the pass. Likewise, they need to be able to move the ground through the air if the other team sells out to stop the run.

Im sure vrable wants to run to have a balanced attack. I think the reason he ran so much in tenn is because he had a jag qb in tannehill and had to keep the pressure off him, thats not the case with Maye

And the answer is: No. They do not have enough behind Stevenson and Gibson. This draft is loaded at RB. They need to come away with, at worse case scenario, one "Workhorse" RB (with high receiving upside). Best case scenario, two such RB's, with one already being better right out of the gate as a 3rd down RB, but with every down capability. We can grab 2, while addressing other needs, from the 3rd Round and lower. Not doing so in this draft, combined with only 2 decent RB's on the roster (one with a fumbling problem), would be outright malpractice.

If Warren lives up to his potential, he'd be a solid Top 10 Pick. In fact, until we acquire a true #1 WR or WR's for that matter (which probably won't be until next year), a #1 TE could be no less of a weapon. And, he's supposed to be a decent blocker already (who can get better at that as well).

Yes, but bear in mind that Maye is a good runner too.

I always considered that Vrabel was limited at QB in Tennessee. They relied heavily on Henry. So much at times Vrabel burnt him out to win a post season game only for Henry to be out of gas for the following game. Tannehill just could not put the team on his shoulders and be the guy.
