Gronk: arm injury

Enough already. Injuries happen. Comebacks happen. We were 6-3 going in, not 8-1. We are where we are, it is what it is. 4-6 weeks. Next man up, and let Gronk heal.

Oh yeah did I mention... more balls for Brandon Lloyd, who suddenly remembered how to catch them. Heck, I wouldn't weep too terribly if a couple went Julian EdelMENSH's way.

Looks like Visanthe Shiancoe is back to being a fantasy play for a while. Suck it up. We lost the best TE in the game, and until 3 years ago, TE was never a key part of our offense. You don't think we can win a game or two w/o Gronk?

Tough games: Texans, 9ers

Games that should be gimmes: JEST Thursday, Fins x 2, Jaguars

Call it 4-2 to close out the season sans Gronk. Wah. That's assuming we lose to everybody in the "tough games" category, and beat the teams we're supposed to beat (or swap out a loss to the bad teams for a win against a good one.)

That's 12-4 folks. Whoever missed the playoffs even at 11-5?

Oh yeah, well except that one time.

Uh.....better check your math.....4-2 means an 11-5 record

Sure. Yesterday.

Copout. Bottom line is that there are instances where playing starters is pointless. Week 17 of the 2009 season was one of those instances. Yesterday was not. The team has it's PAT team set up and Rodney even said himself that he used to come in on the PAT team even in blowouts. The Gronk injury was a freak occurance.

Rodney also said that when he broke his forearm in the SB it took him 6 weeks to heal and he couldn't even sleep on it. Sigh. I hope Gronk's injury isn't as severe.

yeah that has to suck to sleep with. I broke my collar bone..worst weeks sleep in my life..barley slept for a week strait. Pain pills did nothing

No one saw what happened to Gronk, but if you remember Rodney's injury, his arm was flopping around like a wet noodle. It was disgusting. Rodney snapped his bones.

I still don't know if Gronk has a hairline fracture or what, but so far no one has commented that he broke his bones in two.

Say we rested the starters for the last 10 minutes of the game. Defense has another pick-6. Guess what? Gronk would have been out there for the PAT anyways.

It is what it is, so deal with it.

Scumbag Sergio. Making us hurt even though he isn't on the team.

98.5 is reporting that per Mike Giardi the procedure resulted in a best case prognosis.

Giardi is a solid reporter and this is excellent news. There are ways to protect the arm and absorb hits to where the break occurred that should provide some optimism that we see Gronk back in action before the regular season ends.

In the meantime, Hernandez becomes increasingly important as well as the other tight ends. Unfortunately, this makes it a bit easier for the Jets.

Dang. Hope he heals quick and is ready to go off in the playoffs.

Take it for what it's worth but Schefter is reporting "maybe a few weeks".

Copout? Hardly. An answer to the question.

Fact remains that if Gronkowski had been done for the day he wouldn't have broken his arm on that play. Freak or not, that's the fact.

But it's a useless "fact", and a really silly complaint.

It's not so much of a complaint as an observation. Obviously it would have been better if Gronknowski wasn't in on that play. Sometimes, freaky &*%! happens.
