Gronk: arm injury

I saw that and was shocked

I like watching the Dungy/Harrison interaction on that show. It's such a brilliant combination of contrived hostility and underlying themes that it's almost "must see tv". Any time Dungy sides with the Patriots, you can be sure that he does so reluctantly and, therefore, it should be given the benefit of the doubt.

As usual, you get it wrong. I'm not one to deny my "snottiness". I have no problem noting when I'm being such. In this case, my response was on point and not snotty. If you were to tell us all that it was a lovely full moon outside, the likely reality is that it would be noon, with a full sun and no moon. That's not being snippy. That's just getting your posting history on record. You are one of the more reliably wrong posters on this site.

Ah, that's sweet. Considering you're roundly considered a somewhat sad malcontent on this site, one who can barely keep track of the various arguments you're in, I'm glad to hear that.

Keep posting though--as you approach 50K incoherent posts, we'll be rooting you on. You're like the drunk uncle of the site.

Same here, And the host of the show makes it a point to talk about PATS with Dungy and Rodney, If memory serves me right this is the first time this season Dungy praised the PATS wholeheartedly - maybe because they beat his former team

I don't think it's contrived, Deus Irae. I think they really don't like each other, for very different reasons. Rodney can't stand Dungy's holier than thou attitude and Dungy can't stand Rodney's sometimes brutal honesty. He doesn't like the idea of being seen as Rodney's equal. But it is great TV. Took awhile for Rodney to get his sea legs, but he has them now. I'd rather he was coaching our secondary however, and not on TV.

1.) I'm not the drunk uncle. I'm the guy who has the balls to say what is on his mind but, unlike you, I'm saying things that make sense in the process. And, as so often happens, I then become the guy who was among the first to be saying what later becomes conventional wisdom.

2.) Why does my post count matter to you? It doesn't matter to me, it's never mattered to any boss I've had, and it's never impacted the businesses I've owned. It takes me less than 10 seconds to type a typical post, after all, and I'm fully capable of multi-tasking while I'm at it.

I get that you think it's some kind of dig at me, but why do you feel the need to go down such a road? Are you that insecure about yourself?

Rodney is a "holier-than-thou" guy, just as Dungy is, and I don't say that as an insult to either guy. Watch them when it's not a Patriots or Colts topic. They have a much different dynamic happening then, IMO.

It's hard to figure what's more pronounced about you: your inherently (and pointlessly) contrary nature, or your utter lack of self-awareness.

But I will say you taking "less than 10 seconds" to write your posts does explain a lot.

Adam Schefter ?@AdamSchefter

Adam Schefter's post "Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski un..."

Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski underwent surgery this am. Team uncertain exactly how long he will be out, but one source said he expects Gronkowski to miss "probably a few weeks."

I have a feeling he is back for the Houston game.

I try to ignore Deus as much as possible because it is pointless arguing with him. He hast to have the last word and he will NEVER change his opinion because everyone else is completely and utterly wrong in his eyes.

I find it cute that you think you're firing off cutting retorts.

By the way, I'm not a contrarian, despite the claims of many. What I am is a stickler for accuracy, which is why I'll be defending someone like, for example, Peyton Manning in one post while bashing him in another, depending upon the context of the conversation.

As for the 10 seconds issue, I read at about 2400 words per minute and type at about 100 words per minute. I hope that's the explanation you were referring to. If not, that would just be you making yet another mistake, and Lord knows we've seen enough of that already.

And yet, you follow me around and make your comments on thread after thread, and you went out of your way to comment about me with this post of yours. Strange, that...

My suggestion to both you and Aluminum Seats is that you make use of the ignore function, since I seem to have gotten into both of your heads and my posts consistently undercut the poor arguments the two of you make. I promise not to be offended, and I promise not to feel any kind of loss if you do.

Good call.

He would certainly pay dividends. The Texans had one hell of a time defending the seam yesterday. Gronk and Hernandez would light them up there.

deus is like an overzealous and intelligent debate nerd who always has to be right and get the last word. just my opinion, i could be wrong.

To tell you the truth, I was more worried about Gronk suffering a lower body injury (the only way to tackle him is to go low) or the hip injury becoming chronic/worsening. He now has a month of no contact to get right.

If the Pats can enter the playoffs relatively healthy, I wouldn't change their roster with any other team. Not even overly concerned about going on the road for the playoffs since the Pats will travel much better with their more balanced offense. The key is health in January.

I actually think McGahee's injury is a bigger deal. A leg fracture and an MCL tear for a RB accounting for 25% of your offense? Good luck with play action now. If he does come back for the playoffs, it will be after not running for over a month. Gronk won't be able to lift for a while, but I'm not worried about his arm strength for the playoffs.
