I agree with you. But as you mentioned 5 games into his career and has a bottom roster. I think he's doing his best coaching.. but guys are frustrated because the teams loosing.

I'm neutral about the job Mayo has been doing so far. I don't think coaching is directly responsible for any of our 3 losses this season, nor was he responsible for the 1 win. To me he looks every bit the rookie HC that he is.

That's a fair statement . As we know the HC is directly accountable for the teams performance. I don't doubt for one minute Mayo's not being a great coach. But I would like to see him challenge the offense... I think continuing to say Brissett is the starter and gives us the best chance to win is not resonating with the rest of the team. Is why guys felt like they had to freelance they knew the QB sucks

How do you define they haven’t quit, and how do you measure it? Bedard has Polk walking off the field on the pick 6. Isn’t that quitting?

I’m serious though, what do you see that he has coached well? The defense which you said wouldn’t be a problem and was very talented is 29th in DVOA and got spanked 2 weeks in a row. The offense is epically bad, worse than last year. The offense was putrid last year and this years offense is scoring fewer points, gaining fewer yards, and allowing more sacks. We have 4 TDs in 4 games.

The players are starting to insight, reporters are taking about dysfunction, and coached are blaming players.
There really isn’t anything good to point to.
And our QBOTF is sitting around watching.

I’m open to hearing positives in a Mayo evaluation but I don’t see any and “it’s only 4 games” is a cop out.

What bugs me in all of this is our WR's lack of development because of incompetent QB play. IF Pop Douglas - Polk or Thornton was on another Team we would be envious of them. I am convinced if Maye was playing T Thornton would be that guy below from Mac Jones to Brissett talk about lowering the bar.

But it’s not all because of 3 games.
It’s because of a failed off season. It’s because of poor cus Jing and schemes on both sides of the ball. It’s about dysfunction in the locker room. Sure winning cures all but the reasons they are losing aww re unit luck or smoke and mirrors. That’s my point, the reasons they are losing is because the decisions they have made with players, coaches and executives have been bad, and you are seeing the results in the field.

Isn’t that the point of discussing? Uncover what the problems are? We can always dismiss any evaluation with “close your eyes and hold it gets better” but if we are going to do that why bother having a discussion.
