Going to Pittsburgh Game - How to Sit with Pats Not Steelers Fans

probably i go a little OT but i have been in USA 3 times and i have been in NY, Boston, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, San Diego, San Francisco, Oakland, made a lot of miles with a car all over parks etc...walked like an hell...

i have dressed MANY MANY TIMES EVERYWHERE Pats hats or jersey - shirts (mainly with Pat Patriot logo )

i have never had any little problem, never...

ok i was not on the road to any game as i have seen 6 times Pats games (4 in Foxboro and 2 in London) so i have no experience but i would act like Patjew mentioned...

i remember here in Italy in '80...mainly in that period it was real dangerous to go to some soccer games...

I have been in a visitor in opposing teams' stadiums on ~15 occasions and have only had a few very minor runins. Patriots/Dolphins - Brady to Troy Brown game winner - A fan threw a cup of ice at me due to my excessive celebration. A couple other stupid things, too. Just keep your wits about you, and don't go looking for trouble and I think you'll be fine. Honestly, the biggest issues I've ever had have been at Patriots home games. I was borderline assaulted by another fan for trying to enter the exit of a bathroom ~15 years ago. Yes, early 20's me thought he was entitled to not wait in line, but, violently throwing me back for attempting to do so is 100x worse! I also have learned that I have a much, much, much higher alcohol tolerance than the average bear.

Maybe a homer-ish perspective but I don't think you'll have any more trouble @ Heinz than you would at any other stadiums.

Obviously use common sense - like, if you're up 30-0, don't talk a massive amount of smack to the inebriated 300lb dude with clear anger management issues (even if he deserves it lol). Basically, acknowledge the fact that in *any* stadium there are going to be a few jerks, and so long as you're not actively seeking out trouble you'll be fine.

While this may not be a popular opinion on this site, I actually think the relative percentages of knuckle-draggers, drunken tough guys, bigots, and garden variety idiots are more or less the same between the various stadiums. The lion's share of fans are going to be pretty well-behaved even if they are losing.

(Except in Oakland. Never go to Oakland, those guys are nuts

Ive had great luck on craigslist the day before the game.

You can read people fairly accurate. I they start interjecting the money is to buy little Frankie a new pair of shoes or other personal issues, then adios. You can meet at a Police station parking lot for the transaction. I ask for a pic of their drivers licence.
