Giants accuse the Steelers of deflating footballs

I have a hard to believing that.

So what you are saying is that the Giants could stick a needle on the sideline in a football and then throw it back into the game?

That's a pretty big freaking "chain of command" issue right there.
players remove balls from the game all the time after a touchdown, interception, fumble recovery, etc.. i would hope (but don't assume) that they're not allowed to put the ball back into play if they decide they didn't want to keep it after all. otherwise, that would be a chain of command issue.

Rooney, Mara, roger - some surprise.

We need Florio to run with this. The logic is easy.

Now NFL is saying the footballs in question were not deflated . NFL contrition .

Am I wrong here ( no time to read this thread) but did the NFL prior to the 2015 season say that all balls prior to games would be set to 13 psi and NO LONGER at the 12.5 psi???

Does this not reflect the IGL effects even more?

It was Brady or BB who said they'll just set their balls to 13 psi in the future to avoid(HAAAA!) this problem in the future

Great article that explains why Pats fans like me have stopped watching the NFL (though we never cease to follow BB and TB):

Hurley: In DeflateGate Part II, Football Fans 'Know What They're Getting With The NFL'

One thing Hurley noticed on Sunday was the response from most media members, who openly complained that they had to “deal with” another deflated football story.

“Glazer reporting it was like, ‘Oh, no! Not again!'” Hurley said. “And Bob Kravitz tweeted, ‘NOOOOO!!!!!’ Do you know what [Kravitz’s] response was last time? It was, ‘If Robert Kraft has an ounce of integrity, he will fire Bill Belichick immediately.’ So, everyone’s like, ‘Oh, we’ve got to deal with this again!‘ when it’s their overreaction the first time made it this thing.”

But Mara has connections that matter in the NFL

Mr Mara, I forgot about that incident involving your kicker, how about forgetting anything happening with pressure of Steeler's footballs <wink wink>

I think it's time for Kraft to consult with his attorneys.

Link: NFL’s swift response to DeflateGate II worked, but should it have?

Quote from the article:
The league wants to ignore the situation because there’s no way to explain that the footballs used by the Steelers on a cold day in December naturally would be under 12.5 PSI without conceding that the footballs used by the Patriots on a cold day in January naturally would be under 12.5 PSI. It’s the same reason for the league’s stubborn refusal to release raw data from PSI spot checks conducted the past two seasons; surely, there have been games during which external air temperature caused internal air pressure to plunge below a mandatory minimum about which the NFL never even cared (and barely even noticed) until it provided the template for punishing the Patriots.

Man, Florio is obsessed with this even more than I am.

This is like his 3rd screed on this within the past 18 hours. His fangs aren't loosening up on this.

I love it!

I think Mike F. is like the rest of us really, we have no problem administering punishment if the crime happened but the agenda by multiple anti-Patriots sources is just so clear with little reasonable evidence other than the fact that the phone was destroyed, which really means nothing. Why would Brady EVER EVER EVER give his phone to people like this.

Appreciate the few like Sally and Mike F. who are calling out the scenario for what it is...pure conjecture and utter garbage....

I'm amazed that people are so stupid, they're saying things like "if they weren't guilty, then why destroy the cell phone and why call the guy "the deflator".

They keep missing one major point, the Steelers balls measured in the same range as the Patriots balls...in other words, there was no crime.

If there's no crime, then what does it matter what happened to a cell phone... wow, the stupidity is astounding.

This whole things sucks, but it probably is best for everyone's mental health if they forget about it. The fans won't, but I hope the team ignores it. The only true revenge is to win the SB.
