Overall this has been an excellent site for patriot fans to discuss the patriots and everything about them, and that has been due to the diligence Ian and the moderators assisting him have shown in dealing with the people who post here and what they post. I realize that all of the moderators are doing this voluntarily and they have their own lives and responsibilities to deal with on and everyday basis and that this site can't be at the top of their priority list on any given day. unfortunately, at least imo, when the patriots struggle we tend to see soem real garbage come out of the woodwork and end up with some of the threads we have seen started today, wherein the OP offers absolutely nothing of any value and the thread itself turns into a train wreck. In just the past few hours we have seen one thread where all the OP offered was "Overrated," as his original post, and another where the substance of it was that Brady is done because he loves Garrapolo's smile. So my question to everyone out there is if we should expect that those starting new threads should actually offer something of some substance in their original post or if people should simply be allowed to throw out crap like this and see what happens. Personally i like this place and want to see it maintain a relatively high standard and not deteriorate into the kind of garbage that JI and other forums have become so I would love it if threads like those mentioned would go straight to the scrap heap to keep the train wrecks from dominating the front page of this board.

That's just my opinion and i am wondering how others here feel about having some basic standard for starting a thread? I appreciate what Ian and all of the moderators have done for us and think that more of the responsibility for what is posted falls onto us as posters rather than relying upon them to have to move, delete, and modify threads.

Without regards to rules regarding quality of posts, it's worth noting that at least one of those threads wouldn't exist if there were still a 50-posts-to-start-a-thread rule.
