Not gonna defend him on that but otherwise I've thought he has generally been a classy player. He did help them win two Super Bowls against greatest dynasty in NFL history.Sad, but he did choose the giants over the chargers. I will never forget what he and his dad pulled off.

Would Coughlin actually want Eli, though? Aside from his declining play, didn't Eli shiv Coughlin to get his pal McAdoo the head coaching job?
“Surprised is not the word,” Coughlin said, via Mike Garafolo of NFL Media. “My sentiments are totally with Eli Manning. I love the kid. He is a class act. He is a two-time Super Bowl champion. He is the finest, most humblest young man in that locker room. I haven’t followed the Giants. I know it’s a disappointing year by my thoughts are strictly with Eli. I’m very upset about when I heard that.”
Amazing to watch the football world lose its **** over Eli getting benched.

Remember, you can't spell "elite" without "Eli".

If the Pats had done their jobs earlier in those two games, the Helmet catch & the Manningham catch both would not have mattered, except to the gamblers.Whatever they were, skill w/ luck w/ bad refs and/or avoidable with a couple plays that went NEs way or whatever....
The helmet pass and the Manningham sideline throw will always be be etched in my mind as a Pats fan as just brutal memories. Respect to the guy for pulling it off, he made plays that are the black eye of this dynasty, a true competitor. Remarkable somehow he’s not my/our least favorite Manning.
Also....lol **** him
