I have stated I own guns. My Constitutional right has guidelines that I believe in. Gun Laws are not to be taken lightly.
Before you enter the doors of Logan there are many signs that state NO FIREARMS.
Making a mistake boarding a plane is a big bottle of Suntan lotion. This is a criminal offense and never should be argued away with our 2nd amendment rights. It weakens our right to own.
I would not be too happy with someone sitting next to me on a plane fully armed. Can turn into shooting fish in a barrel really quick. Recent behavior by others makes that analogy not too far fetched. He had guns on his carry on. Rather he checked his luggage even though that is a crime.
Not saying he is a bad kid. But his actions make me suspicious. Most likely just a kid that just don’t give a crap. Robbing a Panda Express as a kid can be explained away. When you have the chance to make multi millions by just doing the right thing. He had a setback by getting a team suspension months ago. The team overlooks that but short time later you do this. Now that gives me and the team every right to be suspicious and angry.
Time to cut bait.
Why would you cut bait if he is good enough to be a contributor or starter?
What if he is the biggest moron of the girls you ever met? Why not get as much production on the field as you can unless and until he screws up again? Why would someone’s personal life dictate whether they should be playing corner?

Seriously this day and age who doesn’t know this. Also if he has them illegally he will definitely by cut by Bill. Fricking moronic kids
My question is this:
Where did he buy them?
From whom did he buy them?

As I said in the other thread, if he bought them from an FFL in MA, then that FFL is going to have some explaining to do since, legally, they have to be shipped to an FFL in his home state. If he bought them via a private sale, it's actually the responsibility of the SELLER to record the transaction on the Massachusetts Gun Transaction Portal.

So, if the guy that Jones bought it from didn't record the transaction, that's not on Jones.

Is there any way to spin this such that he is not just a moron? Help me out here folks.

Now I'm a racist? FU. Another douchebag comment from an Internet clown who doesn't know a god damn thing about me.

And WTF does this have to do with Belichick?

Jones is illegally carrying multiple loaded firearms and a large capacity feeding device. In carry-on baggage at an airport. Why?? You got some pleasant explanation for it? Let's hear it counsellor. I'll go with probable nefarious intent. He has a criminal history and it took him less than one season to get suspended by the team and now arrested for a serious crime. What's next? I doubt Kraft is dumb enough to find out. Jones has to go. I don't give a **** if he's black, white or rainbow colored... his race has nothing to do with it. That's ******** you brought into the equation.
In a discussion questioning how stupid someone could be to not know you can’t bring a gun on a plane you refer to a black man with a term that at least over the last couple of years has universally become known to be racist.
Of course you are a racist or you wouldn’t use that term in 2023.

No but he is a moron who can play corner pretty well.

Seriously though I would really like to know what he was thinking
Anyone who has flown knows your bad goes through an X-ray machine and metal detector.. You are 100% certain to get caught.
Did he not realize that? Is his excuse he grabbed the wrong bag? Forget they were there?

No. It is not a crime to check a firearm in your luggage as long as you declare it, it's unloaded, and locked in a case. He should have just shipped them back to wherever via an FFL. The $25-$35 transfer fee is better than what's he's going through now.

Unfortunately, I don't believe there is. As I've stated, it's his responsibility to know the firearms laws in general and of the state he's traveling to. Especially states that don't have reciprocity.

Man.,....I hate to say it, but....

cut the beast.

Take the kid out of the hood, but you can’t take the hood out of the kid

I have a friend that got stopped more or less the same way Jack Jones did. Although it was only a loaded .38 he got off with a huge warning and minor probation. You can bring a gun on if its not loaded. If it goes on the plane and the plane takes off and they find out it was loaded its apparently a minimum of something like 10 years.

It's more common than people think. But yeah he was probably on his last strike here anyways and this was just the final one.

Moronic move by Jack Jones.

I hope the Patriots do not cut him. Let him serve his suspension and bring him back. He is the only victim of his crime. And it's hardly a crime worth anyone clenching their moral sphincters over.

He didn't rob it. He attempted to with two other people. He pled guilty to a misdemeanor and served 45 days house arrest. That was 5 years ago.
Thanks for clarifying that, I was incorrect.

However he still tried to rob the place and it doesn’t matter to me if it was a year ago or five years ago, this is two mis-steps and how long until the third? I’m sure Bob and Bill hope it’s another five years.

I do like the idea of him being rehabbed. Whether that will be allowed via the league office and Kraft is another question.

If he isnt a MA resident isn't this all thrown out the door

The league office won't be a problem. He will get a suspension at most.

Kraft, on the other hand, is the problem. I worry about his need to please the vocal minority who are horrified that the guy had guns.

I want Jack Jones on this football team.

I agree with this, unless he has to do time or he’s suspended for the entire season. Why dump an ascending corner over a victimless crime?

My sentiments exactly. When is this kid going to grow up
According to the DOJ, there are more than a million gang members in the US and it is estimated that half of them own fire arms, almost all of them illegally obtained.

In many poor neighborhoods, gang membership is a rite of passage and possession fire arms is to be expected.

The authorities have done next to nothing to deal with gangsters; parts of some American cities are worse than war zones, yet in the traditional American revulsion at tyranny, many folks are much more concerned about police violence than gang violence.

Many cities are reducing policing and refusing to enforce "minor" crimes like property theft.

Almost 3 million migrants illegally crossed the southern border last year, abusively conveyed by violent paramilitary gangsters, and next to nothing is being done to enforce the existing immigration laws by the federal government.

There is no way in hell in this blatant selective enforcement climate that folks will give up their guns. Outlawing firearms will only serve to make half of Americans criminals and further reduce the respect for law.

I worry about his need to please the vocal minority who are horrified that the guy had guns.
Come on Mr Commissioner, that's BS. The great majority of people are untroubled that he owns guns. They are upset by all the laws he broke and how it hurts our beloved football team.

haven't read posts yet, but I'm pretty sure where some are taking this..those darn guns
