Okay, were the founding fathers dumb?
Some were, sure. Others were not good people. As a group, they were (along with many others at the time) weary of being ruled by theocracy and kingly dynasty.
They are not deities - many of our heroes OWNED human beings (raped them, sold their kids away, etc) and treated them rather horrifically, yes?
The 2nd Amendment was fashioned as it was so that the South could maintain the slave-hunting militias. The fight between Madison and those who were anti-slavery was quite public and well-documented. Madison also wanted the states to maintain militias to prevent the federal government from having power - so little armies instead of a big centralized one.
And until Scalia, the 2nd Amendment was interpreted VERY differently than this present-day dogma. And YES, our gun laws are STUPID. Incredibly, unbelievably STUPID.
People get caught carrying firearms on a plane happens all the time. Jack Jones is hardly the only one.
TSA raising fines after finding record number of guns at security checkpoints
The Transportation Security Administration found 6,301 firearms in carry-on bags so far this year, surpassing the previous record of 5,972 in 2021.www.usatoday.com
I have two pistols. I bought them at the same time. The dealer didn't ask why I "needed" two.TWO LOADED firearms with extended mags. Why does he even need TWO?

I don't think he'll be released or we would have already heard about it. When hernandez was arrested he was gone immediately..This is similar level to Duron Harmon trying to bring 60 grams of marijuana into Costa Rica or Patrick Chung getting indicted for cocaine. They put out a similar statement when Edelman was charged for sexual assault. It seems to be their way of saying we'll let the legal process play out.
Think this will be "this is your 2nd strike, 1 more and you're gone"
You right state crime as well as Federal, The FAA, homeland security is involved. Once your in the check point that is how is goes. Not true. He's been charged with State Crimes. Not sure about the Federal because there is no "Extended Magazine" Federal crime.
I didn't opine on that at all. You're full of supposition. The idea that the Founding Fathers didn't want individual ownership of firearms is incorrect. They did.
I'm not a gun owner and I'm not anti gun either.. however I'm just trying to understand.. between the 5 or 6 hour flight to Cali where he was heading when was he planning on using them..I have two pistols. I bought them at the same time. The dealer didn't ask why I "needed" two.
Wrong again, but do continue. The 2A had ZERO to do with "slave-hunting militias". I'm guessing you never actually read Mason's Master Draft which is what the Bill of Rights was based upon.
Pretty much everyone wanted Militias and no one wanted a Central Army to keep the govt in Check.
As for your opinion on the gun laws. Says the guy who got his hackles up because someone provided facts.. *shrug*
FWIW, I don't think he can be placed on the exempt list, as the NFL conduct policy apparently restricts it to "crimes of violence."This right here likely will get him on the commissioners list as now he has to go to court and face state/federal weapons charges.. I really like Jack, and what he brung at CB.. just a foolish mistake.
When was the first time with guns with the Pats? ThanksIt was..
Yes you can. It has to be in a locked container, and you have to be traveling through. Supreme Court decided that a while ago. When I travel via auto, I cant bring my pistola with me when traveling through NY and Mass enroute to NH which honors my CCW permit.
Jones is going to jail.
Ok, thanks for the clarification.. I know I was listening on weei.. and they were saying that due to thier being pending charges typically the NFL places players on the NFI/suspension list. However as you said I guess it could all depend on the crime as you mentioned.FWIW, I don't think he can be placed on the exempt list, as the NFL conduct policy apparently restricts it to "crimes of violence."
Only difference is McGinnest was retired with 3 rings, and plenty of millions made.. he really didn't need to work the rest of his life... Jack's career is just getting started..Just like Mcginest, self inflicted career enders...
What should the penalty be for carrying 2 loaded weapons on your carrying on a long plane flight?Waiting to pass judgment. Hoping for the best eventual outcome, whatever the **** that means.
