EDIT: McDaniels to Colts is now NOT going to happen.

I don't understand how McDaniel's could take a job with the same team that smeared us with accusations of deflating footballs in the AFCCG 2 years ago.

i don’t either..it is bizarre and one more reason to not love josh mcdaniels if you are a pats fan

Beyond that you have an unstable owner, a question mark at GM, a QB coming off injury with a ton of wear and tear, no o-line to protect him, marginal talent on the roster besides the QB, and a fan base that will be quick to turn on you.

I'd love to hear the honest reason McDaniels took the job and what BB thinks of it.

yeah..i don’t know..i never liked the guy and the whole friendship with brady and it getting all too cushy, the parts in games where he over/calls a game, over-analyzes, brady showing him up on the sideline and him being a **** about it, etc...he also made a fool of himself in denver, in way over his head.

keep in mind, he is a former
plastics sales guy who somehow
lucked into his role and then had bb and brady...

i am sure he works hard and means well, but he has been spoiled beyond belief in this organization for a long time. he also struggles at times in games when not all of his weaponry is there.

i will say, nice job on sunday to not panic, which he usually does when the team
isn’t ahead and going the way he envisioned
This is ridiculous.

Wait until Doyel and Kravitz get ahold of "joshy."

sure, but it just seems
odd after deflategate, too. what a slap to kraft/bb/brady

it doesn’t matter if grigson is gone, irsay had to have known about it and encouraged it
So is BB slapping Kraft, Brady, and himself when he works multiple deals with Indianapolis?

You would think lame ass Indy fans would be burning down their stadium, you know, for hiring such a repeat cheater*, but nope; they're pumped.

Here, let me help. A lot of this stuff's been pointed out time after time already, but it's always good to refresh:

  • Elite talent at QB, as long as Luck bounces back
  • High level of play, though not elite, already at QB, as long as Luck bounces back
  • Owner that does not meddle and gives his subordinates ample time to succeed/fail
  • GM that wants to work with him, that actively sought to engage him for the job
  • #3 pick in the draft (and in the later rounds)
  • Lots of money under the cap (currently projected at more than $80m under)
  • Brissett there to help implement McDaniels' offense
  • While the FA pool isn't deep on the lines, there are a few players out there who could help the Colts a lot
  • The Patriots may be moving on from players the Colts could use at WR, RB, CB

I believe they have some cap space. Could they go after solder or get dion lewis from us? He knows those guys.
I think his first move would be to go after Dorsett who would make a great Colt .....oh,Wait

At least josh won’t have the pain of having to cut allen and Dorset,

Thanks bill!!!

I don't see how he's helping Indy, though. Unless, of course you think Brissett is the real deal, which I am not sold on yet.

So, a 4th rd pick for Brissett is like them using a 4th rder on a QB prospect in the draft. What does it matter, if BB gets what he wants, which is possibly a future, cheap, good WR for the future?

Dorsett is dirt cheap next year and NE holds a club option in 2019.

With Allen, he's Dan Graham for the moment. They may not be homerun moves, but it's little moves like this that have helped this team win SBs in the past.

I don't see that as necessarily helping Indy.

If he wants to become HC again its not like there are many options out there and between the options available that was attractive. Stable and winning record teams don’t usually make a move at the HC position while they are winning.

The Colts suck but we need to get over it, worrying about them is like worrying about not getting a promotion or getting a bad rep in a small company full of ass kissers that you don’t see yourself there long term anyways, we are better than that. The Colts are not a threat short term and history says they wont become a dinasty either, F them.

Im more pissed at them with those ****ing interviews in the middle of our SB run instead of waiting the season to officially ends, but I guess this is a NFL problem that should be addressed. Black monday should be the monday after the SB.

McDaniels can't have Scar, so he's settling, but he's settling for someone who's familiar with what he's looking for out of his O-line:

The head coach isn’t official yet, but his assistants are getting there. I’m told the #Colts have signed respected OL coach Dave DeGuglielmo to coach their O-line. He was most recently coaching the #Dolphins.
