Didn't he have 8 catches for 179 yards against Seattle last year? 179 yards being the most receiving yards of his career. He was injured a game or two after that and never saw the field again. Same old Edelman. Not expecting this to happen, but if it did, I wouldn't be mad. He wouldn't be a starter for us though, more like a #4 who can make clutch catches the way Amendola did. His play had already fallen off before he retired.
Then again, Gronk's play also fell off before he retired.

depends on when the knee started bothering himNo player has dropped more passes than Julian Edelman since 2018
Julian Edelman, the NFL’s leader in drops since the start of 2018, let the Patriots down with a pair of costly mistakes including a gaffe that led to a pick-six in Monday night’s loss to Kansas City.www.audacy.com
You seem to have done a little cherry picking here...

You mean like for a beer? Then, they can all go out together.
i don’t think this makes sense to me. Our top 2 WRs (jakobi and Bourne) are exactly that type of player. This is the type of skillset we actually already have.If Edelman actual does return (although I ain’t holding my breath), he addresses the biggest need on the offense. A quick slot receiver who can run rub routes and effective slants.
One cap issue: if a coach signs as a player, his coaching salary also counts against the cap.
If we are gonna go to the way back machine, this guy gets my vote.
Meyers is not quick and he struggles run a rub route (watch the Gilmore interception in Carolina). My biggest complaint about the passing offense is the poor routes for pick plays. He is more effective outside.i don’t think this makes sense to me. Our top 2 WRs (jakobi and Bourne) are exactly that type of player. This is the type of skillset we actually already have.

Meyers is quick, especially off the line in his releases. He had a bad play on the Gilmore pick but I am not using that one play to characterize him as a player.Meyers is not quick and he struggles run a rub route (watch the Gilmore interception in Carolina). And although quick, Bourne is being used in a number of ways and not a heck of a lot in the slot. He seems to be best suited for the Z receiver role.
